Whats a good insurance for an 87' FC in Toronto

Hey I was hoping someone could suggest a good insurance company for me to get a quote from I called belair and they said they can't insure an 87' RX-7 GX 2 Dr coupe FC cuz it was a classic car...anyone have any good policies they can suggest ones that won't cost and arm and a leg?

I got a quote from TD for a 88 FC for about $150 a month. But that is the RX7 being listed as a secondary car, I have a daily for commuting. Just call a insurance agent bud. Hope this helps

Thats pretty cheap I checked out TD and i got an online quote for 356$/Month which is not bad considering I'm a G2 driver and on my own insurance so I'm pretty excited to pick one up soon

there are so many factors here that apply. The number one factor being age and whether you have citations or accidents.
Location also plays a role too.
Best advice Shop around..

Honestly, the way to go is get classic insurance and another vehicle for a daily driver. I pay less than $300 per YEAR for my '88 turbo and the '76 rx4. Both vehicles are insured to appraised value but I am limited to 5000km per year per vehicle. If you are a fairly young driver though a policy like that can be tough to get. I got mine when I was 24 I think.

See I've looked into that but I'm going to be driving this car as my daily driver (crazy as that maybe) I'm 20 with my G2 I'm going on my own policy so I have been looking around and it's interesting to see everyone's different quotes.

From my experience looking for classic car insurance for my fc everyone said i had to be 25 or 10 years licensed and with a pretty clean driving record. Unfortunately i dont fall into any of those categories

I am with belair for my daily driver and they told me the same thing, too old of a car, and i think that is a pretty common response among the cheaper companies like them.

I bought my '88 FC when I was 20 with a G2 drivers licence on my own insurance with TD Meloche Monnex, and pay $129 a month in Kingston Ontario. $300+ is ridiculous!

If you are driving the FC as a daily driver, I think you should be more concerned with fuel price rather than insurance.

$1.30/L @ 18L/100km
If you drove 2500km a month on average, that's $580 a month!

DAMN!

I was feeling the pain when it was $1.1/L

To answer the original question, I was paying around $80/month on the FC and now $90/month on the FD with Security National, regular insurance.

You're not much younger than myself, and TBH, you probably won't get any cheaper than around 340/month.
