For the FC, I've been winterproofing it (the money wasted on a beater goes to the track car).... ie. GXL LSD install, finish the polyurethanes while the subframe is out... snow tires and some oilspray.

For the FB, pending the funds.... MASSIVE build..... thread to be done when car is (not as it's done sorry guys).

Mines gonna sit until the snow melts. Then there's 5 things on the list...

1) Coil-overs - still not sure which ones but I'm leaning towards the RE Quantums
2) Touch-up paint
3) Enkei RPF1 18x10" rims so I can fit Hoosier 285 tires on em for track
4) Recaro OEM RZ seats
5) When I have car in perfect working order a FJO methanol injection kit with a 4-6 gallon tank and try my hand at tuning 20+ pounds of boost

Im scoping out coilovers too, I was looking at tiens just for the techness of the edfc but not too sure if they're the proper choice for a street setup. Any opinions?

Why do you need coilovers for street? Are you running wide rims? Check the howard coleman suspension thread, he recommends the tein flex, also has lots of great info

It'll be on the track but probably not as near as much as I would like, so its mostly street.

1. Respray black w/ shineauto body kit.
2. BNR Stage 2 turbo
3. Rtek 2.1
4. Greddy fmic
5. 750cc injectors all around
6. Koyo rad
7. Apexi twin chamber bov
8. ACT clutch and lightweight flywheel
9. Replace all vacumm lines
10. Remove a/c
11. If I still have time, spray the undercarriage with protectant and remove rust.

Everything will be done by yours truly, except for the paint. Here's the lucky car. Since this pic, window tint has been done and new calipers, rotors, pads, and stainless steel lines.

^^^^ Travis , consider the "half" front bumper from Shineauto to keep the mazda emboss on the front . I did this on my FC and turned out great .

I hope to get some engine work done on the '79 this winter by RPM. and add a Racing Beat header and presilencer to it . I am going to try and rebuild the carb (1st time ) with a kit I bought last winter.

Nothing on the '89, just put it away this weekend.

I'm making some mods to the education section of my resume (finishing school).

I picked up a spare engine yesterday and will be building it up over the winter.

I'm hoping to remove the interior of my FB, check for rust in the usual places, patch & repair as required. While it's apart I might install a new sound system and dynamat the floor. If I get that far I'll be happy.

I'm hoping to get my poor FC back up and running before the snow flies but thats looking grim. It may become a winter project. On top of replacing the torrington bearings and everything else that is pooched on the front of the engine. It's getting new braided stainless oil cooler lines too. Then in the spring depending on cash flow it will see new struts and drop coils, polyurethane bushings, an adjustable sub link, and some wider tires.

for my 85...
Finish the 12A Turbo build in the -SE. Repaint Black Polly Bushings, rims with WIDE Rubber to accommodate my Widebody

And in my 83 TrACkiE....
Get a Roll Cage, Weight reduction, change all my exhaust gaskets, and a good tune with a wideband.

Ahhh 30 Months of winter ahead...

Going to try to fab up a V-mount setup, already got an e-waterpump, rad, and oil cooler. IF I get through that, might tackle the alky injection.

- Re-wire 90% of the car + install Electromotive ECU
- Manual rack
- Re-do intercooler piping after removing PS pump
- Switch to stainless divided manifold
- Re make my exhaust with non-rice rocket sounding mufflers.

Store it until its warm enough to work on it.

Then install what I have lying around:

SS Oil lines
E-Fan
Redo Stereo surround
Make a quick disconnect harness
Swap injectors
Get a custom intake tube made (improvement over current one)
Tune with my RTek

Well, first I plan on finishing last year's projects, which includes swapping intakes and actually building my exhaust out of the parts i've had laying around for the last 8 months.

Next, begin this years projects which are:
1) Figure out why the hell my boost control circut on the megasquirt won't work.
2) Install new 880cc injectors, and possibly dyno tune.
3) Change CAS wire and hope noise gets cleaned up.
4) Possibly install shift light circut
5) Body work and paint!!!!
6) deal with fubared front struts
7) touch up interior paint, and install OEM black carpet from parts car
8) Finish building trim around subwoofer enclosure

Oh dear I have far too many projects planned already and most likely will not complete all of them... allwell

Ordered from priority/affordability:
1. Bleed brakes tomorrow and tap out the bleeder screw since it broke in half and replace that.
2. Get Oil cooler and oil cooler lines looked at and fixed/repalced
3. E-brake cable
4. Exhaust Manifold Stud as well as exhaust gasket after the DP
5. Transmission Heat Shield back on
6. Underbody engine panel back on
7. TII brakes, 5-lugs, LSD, and related parts installed/adjusted
8. Start saving up for V8 conversion parts
9. Find LS1/T56
10. Strip to bare shell and spray the whole thing with bedliner
11. Endure hours of labour and research
