What tires?

Any suggestion for tires? I need 205/50R15.
I’m looking for street performance, good quality of ride and quite. I mostly use the car to cruze around in the summer time, usually during dry conditions.
Any suggestions of what to buy or what not to buy?
As of right now I’m looking at Nitto-NT05 or Yokohama S.Drive.

Bridgestone S-04's for serious driving and cruising.
For simple crusing and decent on track once-and-awhile, the RE760's are good.
I'm strictly a Bridgestone when it comes to summer rubber.

We use Michelin Pilot Super Sports on the RX8 and they're a great all around performance tire and I don't find them too noisy.

On my Mazdaspeed Protege, I have Dunlop Star Specs. They're sticky, but a little noisy and not great in the rain.

We're going with BFG Sport Comp 2 on my WRX this year, a little noisy but good grip.

I was surprised to find out that Michelin doesn't make anything in the 15in size so I decided to go with the Yoko s.drive. They seem pretty good and not crazy expensive.

Alot of tire makers are not making their higher performance rubber in small wheel sizes nowadays. Gets harder to shop for rubber in the 14 and 15" sizes. Even the 16" size is starting to become difficult.
17" seems to be a really good size to find alot of options. Provided they can fit your vehicle that is.
I think going any bigger would be detrimental

I just started to run Yoko S.Drives in that size (195 and 205 50R15) on my FB when I got my 15x7 wheels.

They are excellent tires so far and I think the bets bang for you buck. I think mine were under $500 installed and balanced with tax.

They ride great and have good wear characteristics. I don't see a point in getting anything better ($$). I actually wish my FB had a bit less grip haha.

Good in wet, dry, quiet, lasts quite long, value, some tracking/lapping etc...basically ticks all the boxes...I would say:

Bridgestone RE760
Continental ExtremeContact DW

Pinkracer's assessment on the Michelin Pilot Super Sports are bang on. However, they are a significantly more expensive tire. His aseessment of the BFGoodrich Sport Comp 2's is also bang on - sticky but a noisier tire (but cheap though!).

I've tried almost every tire out there. The Nitto's are garbage.

Good luck with your purchase!

Unless the car's being autocrossed, I'd have a hard time recommending the RE-71Rs - they're not even a track-day tire, really, unless you are only heading out for a couple hot laps at a time - they wear quickly, and get too hot quickly in sustained lapping. RE-11s, Dunlop Direzza Star Specs, and Hankook RS-3 v2 all offer autocross-class levels of grip (though not quite the level of the RE-71R) but will wear better if street use is the primary or only concern.

I'm thinking of getting Michelin Pilot Super Sports for my FD. The track guys (at race school last summer) said they get a bit greasy at speed, but they might be a good compromise for street driving with the odd track day – the Cup 2 is overkill unless I get a separate set of wheels just for track days. I do want my tires to last more than a year or two.

My best friend is considering the BFG Comp-2's as summer tires for his Civic SiR.

I can't stop buying Ventus' tires - I've used them on several 300ZXs, an SVT Focus and a 350Z. I've always been happy with them. Bang for the buck, I don't think their V12s can be beaten

Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110

*disclaimer, I didn't check to see if they were available in the size you asked. Mostly because I'm lazy.
