What Do You Do When You Are Bored?

Just some shots that were forwarded to me.

Lets see...... I have a tractor, a tow rope and a car. What wacky things could we do............

I know lets see if the car will run on Daytona's banking!!!!!!

I ROFL when I saaw this.

My eternal admiration to the first person who can tell me what they are really doing.

Eric

My guess is prepping to do some sandblasting, or serious work on the underside of the car (possibly mount it on a giant car rotisserie for easy access )

I'd imagine if they were spitting the car that they'd have the covers off so the can use the rebar attachment points for support.........

2. That loader was made in Welland, at my plant.

angle of twist=(TL)/(GJ)

whereas the angle of twist (in RADs.),
T=torque
L=length
G=shear modulus?or is it bulk modulus?or are they the same?
J=((pi)D^4)/32

B6T and Feds, you are both correct, however an ex-Chassis Engineer would have said "they are locating the Longitudenal (sp?) C of G. But Jamie, you are all involved in lawn mowers, garden tractors and stuff so the chassis stuff is all fading away.

Great work and my undieing admiration. Thats it no prizes, sorry.

Now back to my new GT Legends computor game. Got to win this level in the Lotus Cortina at Anderstorp, so that I can progress to the Capri!!

A little extra on the car. The eagle eyed amongst you would have noticed the airjacks behind the front tire on the close up shot. The cars are the ex-WC Franz Blam Factory Lexui (Lexuses) that will be running in the Touring GT Series this year.

At last count there will be 11 present or ex WC Touring cars. Can we say "arms race" and annual budgets in the $70,000 range to win a plastic trophy and your share of $35,000 prize fund.

Its just nuts.

So you're still up... Expect a call tomorrow. Feds needs parts!

Oh, and you can't determine which CofG they are trying to figure out from the picture.

That's to find the angle of twist in a circular cross-section member... not a automotive unibody. And if they were trying to find the torsional ridgidity of the chassis, they would be twisting the rear of the car the opposite way.

I was bored once at work and a guy sprayed me with the firehose (long story) real good. I was really pissed. So when he went to take his daily number 2, I took a fork lift and put his pontiac firefly on the roof of the truck shop. THAT was ******* hilarious.

The next week, my FB disappeared into the back of a truck. The following month, I filled his Jeep Completely with snow. He took the rims and doors off my FB and left it on blocks.........

Hahaha as a owner of a Festiva, I can appreciate the Firefly on the roof. If someone put my Festiva on the roof, I'd probably push it off.

hahaha My mechanics of deformable solids exam was just on that.

Angle of twist is good times

just going to add,

If your circcular member is tubular,

J=(PI/2)(Co^4-Ci^4)

Where C is your radius of your cross setion
And its Shear modulus as well

thank god that final exam has been written
