The only way to actually save gas is not drive. It's a car, it's going to use gas, drive sensibly and it will reward you with staying in your tank just a little bit longer. Drive less, ride a bike to work, jog, take the bus, or quit whining, top it up and take her for a rip.

Bringing back this thread because...
To anyone who's interested, dealguild.com are having the same father's day promo this year : 4.5% cashback on Canadian Tire gift cards until father's day is over.
In my case, since I use a credit card that also gives me 1.25% cashback, that means I get:
Dealguild : 4.5% cashback
MasterCard: 1.25%
CT "Money": 3.5% (varies week by week and according to gas price, my example is at 1$/liter with a 7X bonus week you'd get 0.35$ on a 10$ fillup)
Comes out to a total 9.25% cashback on average.
Don't know about you, but say I spend about 1k in gas per year (most people is probably a lot more than that), that nets me almost 100$ rebate on gas! Rather have that money in my wallet than the refiner's...
BTW GCR is still giving 3.5% so if you prefer cheque payment that's still an option. In my case, I always end up spending the money I have in my paypal account so dealguild is better at the moment. GCR did have a 5% promo for chistmas last year.
