Transporting car from Atlantic Canada to Ontario?

Just wondering, anyone have any idea of how much this would cost? Like approximately, not sure of the exact location, but it is in the atlantic east part of canada.

Thanks,

Carthik

I am in Halifax, and was looking into shipping up old Nissan 240SX race car for somebody who wanted to buy it. I got 2 quotes from shipping car shipping companies (EastCan and SeaRail, going from memory, but don't quote me). Assuming the car was running and could be driven on and off the truck, both quotes came in around $950 to the GTA.

That being said, if you aren't in a huge hurry, you might be able to find somebody from down here heading in that direction to pick up a car that would be hauling an empty trailer and would want a reasonable price just to offset they fuel they were going to spend anyway.

(I actually have somebody coming from Montreal to Halifax in a few weeks with an empty trailer to pick up the 240 and is looking for somebody wanting a car moved from there to here.)

Is that the race 240 that crashed? Saw that posting somewhere before. When is he coming by? and do you have about any idea how much he would be asking?

Thanks,

Carthik

just noticed I read your post wrong, but can you still let me know about how much he would want to make a trip for me? because right now my only option is railway, and yes, they are connected, and that will not be cheap, if thats my only option I dont know if I will be able to afford the car.

Anyone here willing to go pickp a car in Nova Scotia? Ofcourse I would be paying you ontop of your gas money. Send me a PM if you can.

Carthik

RX-7 from Halifax to Toronto costs roughly $610 with SeaRail, this is if you drop off and pick up yourself. I know because that's what I'm doing this friday.
