Talking The month of March usless poll

I thought for the hell of it id see what everyone thinks the correct way of saying MAZDA was.

So for this months usless poll, when you say MAZDA, do you say it.....

with a more dragged out A, almost more european sounding like "MAAAZDA"
OR
the more crisp way of the singular A like its spelled "MAZDA"

let the bench racing begin

is the MAAAAZDA way kind of like saying it "Mohzda"? I've heard others say it that way before. I'm more of a MAZDA kind of person.

What about Mozda? That really grinds my gears. I guess it's more the rednecks that say that but you know.

But RX7/8 specific, it really pissed me off when people say 7 or 8 or RX, I don't know why it just does.

Intrguing, you beet me to the Mozda! Or Mohzda.

Ya i guess the "MAAAZDA" would be like your spelling of "Mohzda" or even "MAHHHZDA".

Talking

Its Mahzda if you are 'merican, Maazda if you are Canadian.

There are lots of words that are pronounced differently if you are 'merican a couple of examples,

1) decal - deecal (US), dekle or dekil (Cdn)
2) permit - pehrmit (US), prmit (Cdn)

Man there are tons of differences, but in most cases we tend to emphasize the first syllable and Americans tend to emphasize the second and drawl out the first. It is dependant on the region you are in as some areas have different common vocabularies, but these tend to be the over riding clues.

This is why most American's can tell we are Canadians. Not really because of the annoying Eh!

We also use very different words for similar things, pop versus soda, chesterfield versus sofa, etc.....

Just some FYI from somebody who has spent way to much time in the U.S. and now finds himself speakin' 'merican when I travel down south.

By the way, I am going to L.A. tomorrow. Anybody want to go with?

Another personally really annoying difference. Where is the word "me" on the end of that sentence. I actually am going, so excuse me while I practice my 'merican.

Eric
