Took the 7 out for a spin
I hope it was dry out, I fear that road salt and brime.
My car would not be out till April when the temp permanently warmer and we get a rainfall to wash out the salt off the roads.
That salt is a JDM killer

I wish I had it out but it's still in the storage garage. Planning on getting mine home around the last week of March and get started on the maintenance part...
Plus I gotta start shopping around for tires...

Nope. Not where I live. Salt and snow melting make the roads wet and muddy for now. I'll wait for a few weeks of rain before attempting to get the car out.
Still have to do an oil change before even attempting to take her out.
Probably looking at end of the month if not mid April before she hits the road again.

BRIM and salt everywere. Just because the road is dry doesn't mean your car is not getting covered in salt. I can see dust storm of salt coming off the road covering the car. Nope my car does not go anywhere unless snow has been gone for a while and lots of rain to clear the roads.
Still a never winter driven car if you drive it on dry roads?

People get really anxious over the winter months. So they see it's somewhat dry and they take their car out. Only to be covered in sand/salt. Worse thing is, they think its alright and they'll wash the car soon but not right away. So they stick it back into the garage all dirty wait another few weeks before taking her out again.
Next thing you know, rust on the car.
Usually by my area, by the time I'm able to switch over my winter tires on my daily driver, I have about 1 or 2 weeks before I consider taking the FD out. By then there might be an entire month of rain that's happened and the roads have been swept by the sweepers. Only then will the FD come out.

No no no no no!
There is still so much salt on the roads. So much dirt and grime built up from the winter. There needs to be multiple good solid rainfalls before I even think of taking my car out of the garage.
I'm also scared that you say this is your first drive in 2 months... That implies January O.o
My car sleeps soundly in my garage from early November to mid-April. I don't care if we get some random 30 degree day in February, it's not coming out.

My old man took his FD out today. I rust proofed it for him as a safety for in case of anything.
Now he won't put it back in the garage and also won't give back my wheels

Supposed to be warm and raining a few times over the next week, so that should get rid of the rest of the snow and wash the salt off the roads. I charged my battery last week; maybe I will start the car this weekend. Patience.
I pulled the car cover off my Jag yesterday. It wont see the street for at least a month and more than likely longer. Also, I was finally able to get into the shop to work on the pigs. Felt great to be outside working on the cars, Blue Jays game on sun shining in...... Almost worth the winter we went through, almost.

Now that's a very rude awakening. I'll bet she burped & sputtered for a long while!
I had a slight thought about taking the FC out for a quick spin, but last night the bastards put brine on the roads around here again. Storage is where she stays for a while yet. That brine **** is worse than the actual salt and its hard to tell if its gone or not. Still lots of snow around here too so lots of salty, sandy run off. I'll keep myself occupied with building the Rx-4's engine in the meantime.
