This thing has been making its rounds pretty heavily.

Very staged commercial.

Who has a drink holder like that in a sports car. Certainly a unit that is for test driving.

Years ago I wanted to take out a Cooper mini and the sales LADY agreed but she had to be the one who took it off the lot for insurance reasons. I've heard that before so I was not concerned. Well once she got the out on the street she went wild. Yanking the wheel back and forth like she was dodging cones. I was surprised but then she pulled in to a parking lot. I figured it was my turn but then she was trying to get the car to slide. I was in such shock I was actually giggling out loud.

She let me drive it back to the lot but man that was the best road test ever. Completely unexpected!

Yes very.

The car on the lot has a sticker that says '09' on the windshield. That means it's a 2009 Camaro. The problem is that there wasn't a Camaro made in 2009. At all. 2010 was the first year.

A closer inspection will show that the Camaro has a 2013 interior (2013 is the first year with nav) and the brand new five spoke wheels. That makes this car brand new.

The car is sitting right outside the dealership when it sets out. If you look at the area where the car sets out from, there sure are a lot of tire marks like repeated burnouts were done

During the entire drive, there isn't one shot of Jeff Gordon driving the car. We see him put the camera in at the beginning and turn it towards the passenger. At the end when he parks the car, the camera is suddenly back on Gordon. That's because Gordon didn't drive: Racer Brad Noffsinger did.

But its still fun and got 7 million views for pepsi... and p.s. its also a v6

Agreed, very staged - the empty roads, other than one car to take a near miss at, the '09, the skids - although not like a Ken Block video where there is a track laid down of all the rubber from the practice for the shot. Saw it once early in the week on someone's FB feed, and loads since - top video on youtube when I looked earlier today, over 8 million views hours ago now. I didn't even find it that funny.

Funny story, in part because it contrasts with my experience a few years ago, when I did a MINI test day at Race City - they had it set up like an autocross on the south roadcourse, not unlike what the Calgary Sports Car Club did when we ran events at RCMP, except it was tighter, obviously to cut down on the hoonery of the general public. They also had a Mazda 3 and VW Golf (not a GTI) there for back-to-backs, and the tightness obviously favoured the smaller Mini. In any case, I took a couple laps at what I would consider 7 or 8 tenths - what would be brisk on the street, but certainly not sliding the car, or even making the tires squall. I came back in, and got chewed out by one of the driving instructors - I remember him saying something to the effect of "Do you think this is, an autocross?", which just made me laugh, because my response was no, if I did I would have been going a lot faster!
