Oooo low blow.

If you must know, that was quite some time ago and we have since hired a much more capable Class A mechanic with extensive Rotary knowledge and years of tuning with experience in most aftermarket standalones. He has tuned a few rotaries as well as other cars for us and we haven't had any complaints as of yet.

If you'd like Kevin, I'll give you a good deal on some tuning time with our guy so you can finally drive your car for once

Nah, I'll just wait till one of the best comes up from Texas, wouldn't want "your guy" blowing my **** up too, and force me into selling it.

What help is that? The phone number of some guy? The guy has tuned a few Rx7's, not one that has been around them for about a decade if not more?

Actually, I'm not having trouble at all, I had 2 widebands **** off on me, yeah thats right 2!!! so that took me until about August to get that sorted out, and I lost interest in the car. I drove it enough, and tuned it to 5psi on my own fine, then I found out the WB wasn't calibrated to Haltech specs so I adjusted that, and its fine...

I'm not about to flog on a car that is coughing and sputtering like that one in the video, it's a little thing called common sense. I figure if a guy is coming up to tune cars, THAT IS REALLY GOOD why not get my car in there, and throw it on dyno at the same time two birds one stone...

It never fails that one of these shop recommendation threads get derailed. I would suggest some simple rules to follow.

1. To make a recommendation I think you ought to have actually spent money at the place you are recommending.

2. All customers are not going to have the same experience so keep the negative to yourself. For example I promoted a shop in this thread but I also stayed quiet when another person promoted a different shop that I feel ripped me off. If the thread were about a specific shop and someone was asking for input I would post it both negative or postive, but in this case the thread starter only asked for positive recommendations.

3. If you have no first hand knowledge of a shop. Stay out of the thread completely or at least state what your level of knowledge truly is.

Then hopefully future readers can actually find the info useful.

I know the moderators have always had a tough time with these threads but it doesn't need to be that way.

Thanks for for providing a simple breakdown Charn. I'm almost Inclined to start making It mandatory to simply delete these kind of threads from now on. Our search data base has alot of gems that could be retrieved and allow one to find out what they are asking for. From there, PM's can be carried forward to fine tune (no pun Intended) what one Is actually looking for.
