Hah, that would explain the midrange torque you had coming out of corners at Grande Bend . I liked what I was seeing there. I wanted to come and say hi to ask about your setup but was busy doing the final tweaks on Jimmy's tune.

If you're at the 23rd event, swing by our pit area. Would be nice to put a name to a face.

Andrew.

Cleaned up the rotors and put the side seals and corner seals in labeled boxes as I'm thinking about reusing them (after checking clearance) since there in such good shape. Bad news is I have to change all the rotor bearings. Well one is in good shape but since I'm changing the other 2, I'm changing them all. Also all 3 stationary gear bearings need to be changed and the 20b center stationary gear needs to be changed as there is noticeable wear on the gear teeth... I think I'm going to run 20w50 in this motor (in addition to the extra oil mods) just as added precaution, it seems that oiling is significantly more important on the 20b then the 13b, even for a stock one. The 13b never cared what oil I put in it LOL.

I have 2 mazda racing competition rotor bearings if you're interested! You doing any side clearancing on those rotors, and are you using extra dowels or a few oversized studs?

Stock bearings for me. I need oil pressure at low RPM since this wont be a full race car :P.

No cage, carbon fiber door, stock seats, and full interior. It will work well I think . My times are a little behind too I'd say, I haven't run the car at 100% since 2010 due to turbo and other stupid issues/delays.

you sent him maps, he did logs, and sent back, then you adjusted..?

I might (if your willing) send you a question or two about learning to tune from scratch (through the PFC group) because of how good you have become and to learn from, basically scratch... which is exactly what I'm just starting to do..

BTW, got the WB in, put it in the stock port like you suggested... so far its working good...

Basically, that's the jist of it. Its a very time consuming procedure that involved a lot of explanations and "try this". Towards the end, it was just a matter of raise boost, give me log, but to get there took a lot of effort.

Got my coils I'm going to use for the 20b

It'll be done. But I think I have to put flares on the rear to run 335 on the back

Any particular reason you didn't go with the Greddy RE10's to save some $$$?

Greddy's don't have the 10.5 plug. They're the same price as the Greddy's.

They must have gone up, last time I grabbed some they were over $10 cheaper/plug. Either way it's your money, I was just curious. Project will be BA, I just hope you finally cave one of these days and build a cage!

Yah, I remember when we could get them for ~$120 /set allin. Not anymore though. I'd still pay more for the 10.5 though, its better suited and the 11 is too cold for street use.

Block has been machined to accept 12.7mm through studs . Added some colors so I can fap to it when needed LOL. Ready to make some torque at high boost reliably
