Temporay paint job
So a I have a few spots on my fc where the paint is peeling off.. looks terriable and upsets me everytime it gets washed.
I have plans on painting the car again in the winter, but just for the rest of the summer I want a cheap *** paint job. I do have access to a spray gun and old garage, so spraying it is not goign to be a prolbem.
My question is, what color? im going to do a flat color. im thinking either flat white, or like a dark dark grey.
any other ideas??
Thanks
Geoff

Try to match the original color with something that is close. There is nothing worse than a Two tone ,spotted, half assed paint job.You will be 'noticed' Comin and Goin.At least try to match the Paint and you won't be gettin "heckled" by Bystanders...oh..and for your all your Paint needs..CLASSIC AUTO..(can't forget JOE!)

flat white is really ugly.
the only flat color that looks good (and it can look really good if you do it properly) is black.
for as much work as a flat color is though, doing a base/clear job is not much more expensive and will probably look better in the end.

Just go and do it all yourself.
Besides, what have you got to lose?
Go grab a door panel from a scrap yard and try some different colours. It would be fun!
If you know you're going to need a new paintjob regardless, and you've already got the space and equipment to try -- whats the harm. Cost you a few bills for paint and clearcoat, and i'm sure the extra attention you'll pay to it because it's your car will pay off in the long run with taping and such.

NEVER, I REPEAT NEVER PAINT YOUR CAR A FLAT COLOR! My best friend owns a bodyshop and is a painter and trust me, you don't want a flat color. Go base/clear white. But if you're car is a dark color be sure to prime or you're gonna go through a hell of a lot of white paint to cover it. White is also the cheapest color and easiest to cover flaws. And FC's look awesome in white. But please stay away from the flat. I don't know what it is with people painting they're cars flat black. Sorry Terrh, the Talon wasn't too bad but.... ergh...
