Swap Options?

so by now you all have heard i have a 73 RX-3 wagon with the original 12a. i would like to have something a bit more reliable engine wise. so i have been wondering what if any of the early frontmount 13b's would bold up to stock mounts? if anyone has any suggestions i would love to hear them.

Alot of people still say the 12a is reliable. Maybe your motor just needs some refreshening. ( maybe a motors from the 80s at best )

tear it apart and clean her up maybe port a little and put back together . and have something thats fun and will last you for a while.

If you want more power and have some extra $$$$ to burn then a nice T2 swap would be very sweet. But you would be looking at more money for sure.

I vote rebuilt 12A with a downdraft weber setup.

Well, you said reliable, so maybe not weber.

12A is the most reliable Rotary I've ever had.

You should be able to bolt any 13B in if you swap the front cover to the pre '86 cover and use a mounting bracket from a pre '86 13B.

Edit...But you may need to experiment to find out which oil pan fits.
