Steve Kan Tuning Day

Thought that I would throw this over here since you folks were so nice about informing us about your recent tuning session.

I have been talking with Steve Kan over the last week to see about getting him in back to the NW. In addition to this I have also spoken with a few forum members about tuning their cars. We need 5 cars w/ deposit before Steve is willing to come out.

Bio:

For those that have not heard of Steve Kan here is a little bio from his website:

Steve Kan is one of the most renowned car tuners in the world. He has tuned countless vehicles using name brand aftermarket fuel management systems. He has evolved his own skills and methods tuning rotaries, and piston engines. Click Here to read what people have to say.
Steve started his tuning journey in 1995 from his personal vehicle. After success with his car, along with many others who wanted his tuning ability services, he started making a name for himself in the rotary community. In 1998 he teamed up with Rotary Performance, and launched his professional racing career. Since then he has opened his own performance facility in Fort Worth, called Gotham racing, and travels all over within the United States providing tuning services.
“Many people ask how I came up with the shop named Gotham racing. The answer is very simple. My race car was nicknamed the "Bat Mobile " at the tracks and local street scene.”
Steve earned a degree in BSEE (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering) and has a wealth knowledge with electronics and programming. In college, he was involved with the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) program as a hardware designer for the engine management system. This, among other things, is what makes Steve one of the best Rotary and Piston tuners in the world.

$600 - Aftermarket Turbo up to 25psi of boost (pump gas and race gas tune) 2 maps

On all tuning sessions there is a Non-refundable $200 deposit.

Additional costs will be applied for dyno time. Dyno time will be $85/hr. Most tunes take anywhere from 1-3hrs.

Schedule:

I would like to give people an ample amount of time to get their cars ready. I would also like to ensure that there is a sufficient time gap between this tuning session and the tuning session held last June. I feel that a time that would accommodate both would be in the end of September. I am open to suggestions however. Once we have decided on a specific date I will coordinate with Steve. Please vote on a date and a back-update to ensure that we can get a slot with Steve.

Location/Dyno type:

Depending on the amount of cars we might rent the dyno for 2 days. In order to book the dyno I need to gauge interest. Dyno time will most likely be spent at Horsepower Connection in Olympia. It is a 2 wheel Dyno Dynamics dyno rated for 2400hp. It also has the ability to do steady state tuning which provides a large advantage for the tuner.
