Saw a red FD, efini badged, leaving downtown toronto this morning. Say hi!

 

What is a "efini"? Don't know that abbrev.

 

It's not an abbrev. It's the brand Mazda used to introduce the RX-7 back in the motherland.
RX-7's were called Efini till about 98-99. Then they became Mazda RX-7's.

Some of us LHD cars have swapped out the emblems for the Efini emblem because it's alot more appealing than the "flame" emblem.

Other times you see the Efini emblem when the car is RHD.

 

This one was LHD btw.

 

Efini was used by Mazda like Toyota uses Lexus, or Honda uses Acura, the idea was to position Efini as the premium brand above Mazda.

 

That was DEFINITELY not me, although I tend to see a red one with the enfini badge frequently now.. I have a feeling there not on the forums tho.

Spotted right downtown, getting on the Gardiner, from University ramp.

Also had a spoiler... and possibly side skirts (FEED? was spotted by my sig. other, so not 100% sure hehe)

I think I know the car you're talking about, I take the King st. streetcar home from work and I saw a red RHD FD that I thought was my friend mike so I yelled out "mike!" and the guy gave me a :/ look. Never been as embarassed as I was then....
