Exclamation Spark plugs in Vancouver

I've done a search on this, but couldn't find any information.

Where do you buy your NGK spark plugs? Lordco just quoted me $12 each! The woman on the phone told me I needed four leading and four trailing, for a total of eight plugs. I told her, I only needed two of each, but she insisted. Anyway, there's no way I'm going to pay $12 each for them. I'd get them in the states, but I want to them tomorrow.

Can anyone recommend a place? I'll go just about anywhere in the GVRD for them.

Thanks!

tell her she is full of **** and say you need two of each.If she doesn't want to sell them to you,ask to speak with the manager.I don't think They would like an employee that doesn't want to sell products...NGK plugs BUR7EQ(two for the leading) and BUR9EQ(two for the trailing)..if you want to get Platinum, then just add a "P" to the Numbers...Bur7eqp .Bur9eqp.(plugs are for second gen)..by the way,Plugs sometimes come in packs of 4,so she is trying to "double dip you" and make you buy more than you actually need.

Why not try the Mazda dealer? I think I get sets of plugs for $35 CDN.

I'm not even going to bother with her again because I'm not going to pay $12 each. They are only $5 USD each at Schuck's in the states, so next time I'm across the line, I'll pick some up for next time I need to change them.

A Mazda dealer told me they were about $8 each so I might end up there tomorrow if I can't find a more reasonable price elsewhere.

Try shopping around, call NAPA, or whatever else. Lordco's prices aren't great, unless you've got a hookup with an account with a good discount, in which case the prices can be pretty darn good (my dad gets a good discount on the company account). You could always try buying stuff with an account of some company that buys there (a shop maybe?). If you pay then and there the company won't know (if you're worried about tracing it back to you, pay cash).

Napa doesn't carry NGK spark plugs.

I just got off the phone with Mazda...they quoted me $48.82 for a set.

Doesn't anyone change their own spark plugs? Someone has to have the name of a retailer who sells these for a decent price.

Give Crappy Tire teh NGK number and see what they can do, if not maybe try a small engine repair shop, or a snowmobile/dirtbike dealer...

50$ is average price for stock plugs, i dont see what the problem is? The other option is some br9eix iridiums (need a thin wall socket tho, and priced about the same). Is your car turbo or n/a?

I don't have a problem spending $50 for plugs. It's just that I've heard of a lot lower prices on other forums...as low as $7-8 cdn for NGK, but that was in eastern Canada.

I know a lot of guys work on their own cars, so I thought someone would know where I could get them in Vancouver for a similar price. I really don't need any advise on how to shop (notice the 'chick' part of my name). I will find them, I just thought someone could save me some time by giving me the name of the place they buy theirs!

Cheers,
Lainy
