Spark plugs and fuel filter

I have an 1987 RX7 non turbo and want to replace the spark plugs and fuel filter. Dealer wants $26 CAD for each plug and almost $50 CAD for the filter. Is there any difference in quality of parts from what the dealer charges and some of the on-line sites (ie. Rock Auto, Autopartsway) which seem to be substantially less expensive. Any help would be appreciated.

You have to watch those online sites when it comes to the spark plugs. They list some for the Rx-7 that aren't the proper ones. The plugs are not cheap. That price from the dealer isn't too bad.

Thanks. I used to buy a complete set from the dealer but now they no longer sell them as a set of 4. Unfortunately I don't have the OEM NGK spark plug numbers from Mazda only the part number for the set of 4. If I had that then I would feel more comfortable about buying on-line. Have you had any luck with the after market fuel filters. The OEM part # (N326-20-490A) crosses over to several brand name filters.

You can't find the plugs at Rockauto?
I get my plugs for both my FD and the RX8 from there.

BUR7EQ and BUR9EQ are the NGK plug numbers. There are also platinum versions of both which have a P on the end. Both are available on rock auto. I just checked.

As for the fuel filter as long as it looks like it fits the same it should be fine.

Rock Auto. Just ordered a set myself. Use the NGK part number and you'll get the correct plugs.
