Talking How hard is it to do a spark plug job and time involved.

What tools will be involved and about how much time does it take? Also if anybody has the actual plug # that will be helpful. Im around 17k on the motor so I think it's time. One more thing, fuel filter should be changed out every 20k correct? Where is the location of it and does any body have a picture of it, in which i can spot it out....Thanks a bunch

Not to be a d!ck or anything but a lot of people would tell you to search for stuff like this.

Check this site for changing plugs:
spark plug install

Check here for fuel filter install:
fuel filter install

Are you doing plugs and wires, or just plugs?

If you're doing plugs, just jack your car up and reach in from underneath.

I did mine from up top, all you need is a plug socket and wrench, and a 10mm socket and like a 2-3 inch extension to remove the intake elbow and pliers or channel locks to pull the hose clamps off, and some anti-seize for the new plugs.

Maybe a flashlight too, if you're doing them at dusk like I did.

Oh, and umm...diapers if your plugs look like mine did. With 17k on the motor, i doubt it.

plugs- 1ist time 30 min or so depending on how fast you work
i think its like 15/16 spark plug socket..its the bigest of the 3 most sears will carry

ive done it so many time..i can get car jacked up swap plugs in under 20 min...

fuel filter is a PIA..make shure gas tank is nearly empty, if nto you be wearing alot of gas...its not a bad job..my tips are to take a exacto blade and slice the fuel like so it can come off the barb real easy and replace the pieces of line to the hardlines...much easier..ive dont it like 3 times...each time it sucked..took me an hr or more each time..and i knew what i was doing...but slice the lines and theyll come right off

Plug #s? I run all trailing, NGK's number is BUR9EQP for those. My guess is that leading plugs are BUR7EQP.

Bacon is right, the job itself takes 15 minutes. I do it from the top, too.
