Someone Backed into my Car

So I parked my car outside after bringing my trailer home so I wouldn't wake up the neighbors since I came home late last night. I wake up and I find this... WTF, nobody cares that they damage other peoples property anymore and take off? As far as I can tell someone used my front neighbors driveway to make a 3 point turn and must have been drunk or something and then took off and nobody saw....

Do I need new fenders and doors?

Oh i do think you will need new fenders and maybe a door. the FD's lines are hard to get back straight when something like that happens.

You could see what a body shop could do, but it would probably be cheaper and less hassle to get new skins.

Damn!! It absolutely sucks when people don't respect other peoples property.

Looks like you'll probably need a new fender and door. As the other guys have said, it's tough to get everything looking smooth again once it's dented.
Especially on the door. You'll defintely need a new door skin.

I hope karma gets back to the person/people who did this to your ride!

A new fender is a good idea Marco, the door can be fixed.

Really? I thought the door would be the one that definitely couldn't be fixed since it seems to be pinched somehow.

wow that really sucks man... seems too many people have no regard for anyone but themselves

if you have collision/comprehensive insurance coverage on your car and it's been reported to the police... you can put it through and just pay your deductable

Just joshin ya. I think your neihgbourhood is bad for Fds. My car is still being rehabilitated from the damage it suffered from being parked there.

Sorry to hear of your luck of late.

At least your insurance will cover yours, I don't have any coverage.

Dam Crap ****!!!
Another no class individual not owning up to the **** he caused. I would be talking to my neighbours about the adress of their recent house guest and follow it up.
That is way to much damage to just walk away. I'm sure the sudden thump told the idiot driver he or she just drove into something.
I recently forked out $800.00 clams to cover the damage my wife did to a 2009 Tucson. It was on private property and she probably could have drove away.
She waited for the owner to come out from the store, and agreed to cover the damages after seeing an estimate.
Too bad about your run of costly repairs. Hope you get a lead on who caused the damage. They must have a match of your paint on one of their bumpers.
What ever you do LOTS OF LUCK getting your ride to back in the nice shape it was in before the latest Wammy!

Ok let me get this straight Marco. Your driving a car worth AT LEAST double it's new retail price - which wasn't a low number to begin with - and it's not covered for this type of damage?

Good luck getting it sorted out.

I would certainly be checking Joe's FC for IBM paint scuffs. :P

I'm cheap when it comes to insurance so I have no coverage on anything on my car. If it was legal, I'd drive without insurance. Insurance wants more money then I think its worth since I'm still under 25 and am male. Even with this, I'm still saving money.

If my car was totaled, I'd be scarred for life anyway

It all makes sense now, it was Joe lolol.

Unbelievable. You just know, almost certainly, what this person looks and acts like. This is the person who drives like a douche all day because he/she has no respect for others, mainly because s/he is not respectable themselves. They don't own anything of any worth and thus can't understand the respect necessary when someone else does. It is beyond their capability of thinking. If it's a man, his house is scattered with empty beer containers, bathroom is a bio-hazard and he has not cooked himself a meal in years (takeout food is lazier). He was probably driving a small truck, or a mid 90s domestic car of questionable condition. If it was a woman, she is most certainly a fat baby factory driving a rough minivan or her husbands mid 90s domestic car of questionable condition. In either case, there is a "Out of a job yet? Keep buying foreign!" sticker on the back. Their lives are such trash that they don't see how anyone else's life could be any different and thus it does not phase them a bit to cause a few thousand dollars damage to someone else's vehicle. Because after all, their vehicle has looked like that since 2 weeks off the showroom floor.

Your best revenge on them is having the means to fix the damage without worrying about it too much. Their life is a living hell that most of us wouldn't be willing to experience.

The fender isn't really economical to repair, so replace it. The door can be repaired with a new skin.

Its next to impossible to remove that piece without breaking it. Its plastic welded to the actual scoop. You'd have to cut if off and glue it back on....not really the best way to do things. The only other option is maksing, and masking it up would leave an ugly tape edge, so I take the lesser of two evils.

^ I'm perfectly fine with the way it is and if I remember correctly Joe even told me he had to do it that way before doing it if it was ok.
