Looks good. What is that near the headlight motor with the power wires connected? Capacitor?

Yea, the car won't start without boosting it so Brent thought the capacitor might help. It has a Megasquirt ECU

The capacitor won't help with starting. Either the battery is bad, or the relocation wires are too thin. Though it may help prevent the Megasquirt from rebooting when you try to crank it over, if that is happening then there is a bigger electrical problem somewhere.

Hmm, I wonder if Brent thought of that? The battery was relocated behind the passenger seat. That would explain why when you boost it with the terminal in the engine compartment it fires right up. But also after it's warmed up it starts up without boosting, it's only when he lets it sit over night that it won't start without boosting.

The capacitor helped a bit, for some reason the ecu won't pick up the cas even though the voltage drop while cranking is the same as stock (according to my volt meter as compared to my car which has no problem starting on the stock ecu) Once you start the car in the morning then it's generally fine throughout the day. Most likely a draw in the system while the cars shut off, just really never got a chance to properly diagnose it before it got put away.

That's funny, I worked on the burgundy one as well. It belongs to Andrew, my painter.(Guy that painted my car) First time I've seen the vids of Marc's car. Pretty neat to see it on video.

What kind of wire did you use to connect the CAS to the ECU?

Stock harness in excellent condition, It's definitely not the cas wiring. Once you start the car it's good for the day usually, unless it's really cold out. I won't be looking at it til the spring, the car's been put away for the season. When it comes back out we'll sort it out. Just wanted Mark to get the chance to enjoy the car for atleast part of the summer.
