So the beast came out in full force today...

So the FD came out of hibernation today, new battery and way she went. It was a bit of a cold day, but still nice enough to ***** foot around with the sunroof peeled back....alright, ***** foot my ***....she took it and took it hard.

I must admit, I felt a bit convicted when I passed a guy on a bicycle....but just a bit and then I gunned it....oh how I missed the stench....plus I got to show off my new paint job

LOL! Join the gas smell club rofl. The first thing my little sisters said when I walked in the door was I smell like gas lol.

Now, going out the door to tune the girl a little so she's not running like a pig because of injector change.

Pics are coming...she needs a bath though...dirty girl that she is. It's funny about the smell of gas, I actually stood outside and made a few phone calls before I went in the house just to get the smell out of my clothes.

...and 2Fierce...don't hate me because I'm beautiful

Got mine out Monday. Took it down of the jack stands, connected the battery, checked the tire pressure. Started right away. I put on Konis and Eibach springs over the winter. Got it aligned Friday according to Petit and Howard Coleman's specs. Wow! My wife's out in it for the first time ever today. Don't know whether to laugh or cringe!

After 8 years of not having an air pump in this car, I'm looking forward getting rid of this smell and the red eyes.

Yes, Jim. I am finally putting your old air pump in my car after a few mods.....

I got to take mine out yesterday to! It was such a nice feeling. I've been driving my crappy truck all winter with a massive exhaust leak, I couldn't believe it but my 7 was actually quieter then my truck, by a lot!!

I'm about to go wash mine and take her out....

Mine's getting unleashed on april 1st 12 more days!

what is that all about the smell of gas? I like to get in front of people on the highway, then floor it to give them a nice black cloud of smelly oil and gas, but I don't smell anything bad inside the car when I'm driving.

You don't smell because you get used to it. Other people do though.

Mine has been towed already twice this season. The poor thing cannot move under its own power since the OP took the engine out of the bay. He then has the audacity to make this thread to remind me of what I am missing.

Joe (Classicauto) is doing step 1 of the colour change by painting the engine bay. Then another tow to get the motor back in. Then Joe goes on vacation. Then she drives under her own power for the remainder of paint. I think I'll see her nice and shiny paint in May. Feels like a long time from now.

Come on Mike, you don't even like that smell, you don't need to drive.

On that note, you should try the 2-stroke snowmobile oil that advertises to smells like strawberries, it actually does.

Can i put that 2 stroke oil in my gastank to premix?? Or is it considered too gay...what if I match it up with like, some betty boop decals??

My car is still a LONG way from being ready, but I checked on her last week, and let me tell you all, it'll be worth the wait. May 1st she comes out.

BAH!! I miss my baby. Soon though, soon. Just put on a new RE-Speed 3 point strut bar and this week I will be starting on putting full poly bushings in all the links and arms. Finally got a air bleed/fuel jet kit for the Sterling ($320 :O ) so I should be able to get some more top end out of it. Hopefully she'll be done by the weekend, but I'm not counting on it. Also just found out I'll be getting a really good return from the "Man" this year so that will be going towards the RE-Speed R&P conversion kit and some debt. Notice how the debt takes a backseat to Nikki

yeah i'm missing out on driving mine too, it needs a streetport and a rebuild so i'm going to have to wait untill my NA sells before i can go ahead with that. this is good tho, it will remind me how fun the cars are and hopefully that will make me speed things up a bit haha.

I have always referred to my vehicles as being feminine and I the manly driver.

Darryl prefers his vehicle as masculine. The stinky "beast" as he puts it. I can only assume that he is the dainty beauty that drives it.

Darryl are you trying to tell us something?
