Should I paint my wheels?

I got my MS-01 wheels in the mail last week, they are silver. Im going to get them refinished (curb rash repaired) and they asked me if I wanted to repaint the centers.

What do you guys think? I should I colour match them to my 10AE or leave them silver?

This photo is not my car, its a representation I found on this forum from another thread. Im just using it to represent what a white FC looks like with Silver MS-01's.

I'm not generally a fan of colour-matched wheels - seems very 80's to me. But for a 10AE, might look good. You were leaving the lips/barrel silver/polished, right?

Of course, just painting the centres. Im on the fence but I will see what the cost is like. Im leaning towards just leaving them.

Keep them Silver,or whatever.
IF you go to another color such as white, then decide to sell the car minus the wheels you are going to be kicking yourself silly if the wheels do not match your "new car".
Chrome, silver basically goes with anything,so keep em that color!..and what you save you can spend on special maid service!...lol!(private joke!)

Yeah the wheels don't even have the same bolt pattern of the next car I'm buying dave.

I'll probably leave them. They looked better than I originally thought they would before I got them.

Powder coat don't waste time with paint, I generally charge 350 to 450 to powder coat rims, that's getting them blasted and whatever colour the customer wants.

Well yeah, of course I was gonna powdercoat them. I think I'll just leave them and get the lip refinished.

Plastic dip them to any color you want.
If you got bored or need them back to the original color, just rip it off ....

The colours MS-01's came in were red, silver, or a pale gold. I refinished mine as close to the pale gold as I could get since that's the colour they are on the 787b. I think the gold would look awesome on a white car. Don't forget to get the measurements for those Mazdaspeed stickers on the spokes though - they are extremely hard to find and you will probably have to get them made. Actually, I could use the measurements too!

I found a source from austrailia from a guy who lives, breathes and eats mazdaspeed products. I replaced my missing center cap and nut, as well as ordered reproduction stickers. Guy also has actual wheels for sale as well as thousands of other mazdaspeed parts.

Just to clarify, there is actually nothing wrong with these wheels finish wise, there was just some curb rash on the lip I was going to get fixed. The guy asked if I wanted the colour changed. After thinking about it, I'm going to leave them the way they are for now and get the curb rash repaired.

Thanks! Not just drooling over parts (will do that too) but might need some replacement stickers if I decide to get some of my own wheels refinished.
