Shops in Montreal?

Looking at a seven in montreal, wondering if theres a good shop to take it too. I took it to a dealership there. They faxed me a sheet of what was done sounds a little incorrect, though my french isn't good, but im going to talk to the guy tomorrow he knows his english decently. Just looking at getting a compression test and a boost pattern check.
thx. Ryan

I've just passed this on to local club forum. Someone there actually owns a Rotary shop and I'm sure he can provide you with the data you are looking for.

They should be chiming in shortly...

The car is a black 93, the guy name is Pierre. Is this a well known shop in Montreal? I should be coming down this week if the compression and boost turns out all right and/or if the shop did it correctly.
thx. Ryan

I think you should keep it under wraps until the deal is done.

I think you should loosen up and start trusting your fellow man. We're trying to help the guy sort out his purchase not pillage his deal.

Paranoia will destroy'ya.

OK here is how it goes. The only stealership in the Montreal Area including the north and south shores to have the real compression checker and boost guage is Mazda Laval.

Their information is as follows:

2385 Boul. Chomedy
Laval, Qc
H7T2W5
(450)688-4787

Also if you give us some pics there are very good chances that one of us has test driven the car. Are we talkin about the 17,800$ car?

Good luck,

Alex

Logically we would know since ohh say the last 3 months that the car has been up for sale

Don't worry two FD owners and a Supra owner aren't gonna go out and buy your FD.

I beleive that would be the one for 18,750 (42000 km), well after gettin the compression test and boost check which by the way were both incorrectly done got 185 psi ? asked him what the specs where he said 190psi is perfect, yea well. But as i was awaiting results he got an offer, so this guy is coming down on Sat to look at. So since he got the offer in first the cars is basically his. Any who I will just wait and see. Hopefully there will be more on the market.

Thanks for input Ryan
Looking for a low km, close to stock, manuel FD.

Unless they have sold their tools, Mazda 2/20 has real compression checker and boost guage too. I got work done there with those proper tools. If it is closer to you, it will be worth calling them to make sure they still are fully equipped.

I may be alone on this one but I beleive a 12 year old car should have a certain mileage. Like 160,000kms is too much but 40,000kms is too little in my opinion.....
