Shine group buy
Looks like shine is back up an running in there new facility now. So if you are still interested in making a purchase to save on shipping here is the place. The shipping was $250, and that would be divided of course by the number of people participating. I will set Jan 27th as the last day, and who ever has ponied up by that time will be good to go.

We would pay shine directly for the parts we ordered. This shipping would be divided equally between each participant. I will pay the full shipping in advance, so when you pick up your part you can give me the funds in cash or PayPal me the money prior to picking up your part.
So far we've got three confirmed members. Shine hasn't responded to my private message yet, I also want to know if the bumper will fit in a box with the rest of the stuff.
Hopefully we get an answer soon.

It looks like a few people want to ship larger items (like bumpers). Based on the last group buy it sounds like they might not fit in the box, or they might get hit with duty.
Based on the two possibilities I have sent Ken (Shine) a PM and have attempted to call him. Both options have gotten me no response.
I would suggest we wait a bit to see what our best course of action is. Hopefully it will not take him long to respond, although he hasn't signed on to the forum since Jan 18th.
Another option discussed with one of the members interested in participating in the group buy was to have our box shipped to the boarder and we would go across and get it. If the shipping is significantly cheaper then this might be an option, again we will wait and see what Ken has to say.
I have done the boarder shipping in the past, and getting it across to Canada has worked out very well. I did it with my Scoot hood, and my aspec turbo kit. In both cases I did not pay any duty on the parts, and saved a substantial amount of cash.
Again I am ok with waiting to see what Ken says for our example.
