I will be leaving at 6:00 am if you want to tag along, LOL.
Seriously, It only takes me about 1:40 minutes from Oakville at 6:00 am. The big issue is the stop and go eastbound traffic on the 401 in Ajax after about 9:00 am. It can add at least 30 minutes to your drive coming out of the city later in the day.

You can get in to the track for free. Just go to the casc.on.ca site and you can download the tickets for free. The $20 is required to do the lunchtime lapping session. Lots of stuff to see and do.
Come on out and drop by my pit and say hi!

I must say, I personally wasn't too pleased with the organization, and how ridiculously slow we were going behind that 3 rotor FC. The ferrari behind me had enough time to take his top down at the track .... thats how slow we were going.
Anyways, anyone know how how Eric made out with his make shift wheel studs?

and your comment about the organization.....why dont you set it up next time?
Even better would be if you could help and then take the "want to go fast" drivers with you and maybe have two different groups.
BTW that ferrari was putting his top down while he was on the pits.
Had I known that you were going to be like this...I would of put an upper decker on your intake while you had your hood up and flush it down with some *** water.......
Good luck at CSCS.

Yeah, that bald guy with the red RX-8 making us sign **** is a total noob.
At 600 rwhp, you can't blame him.
Agreed. It was $20,and designed to give people a feel of what Mosport is like. Even allowed Neo to look fast in his girlycar. There is probably a reason guys like thewird, JimK and Yeti didn't bother with it.
The Go Fast Guys usually just pay the $300 it costs to do a proper lapping day.
The other option for next year, is to have everyone post their fastest Mosport lap and have the cars sorted accordingly.

As the organizer I can say 80% of the people had a blast and are already in for next May's event. If you are expecting to go lapping day speeds then you should pay the $400.00 plus and have a great day doing that. This event was to give street drivers and race fans a true experience of what a lap at Mosport is like at a moderate safe speed..........having said that I am told someone spun out in turn 2 which in itself is very upsetting. We managed to raise $700.00 for Sick Kids which is the most important part. There were registration issues as always because people did not follow simple instructions like showing up at the registration center before we met in the track ay 11:00am. We tried to do the best we could. Anytime anyone wants to take over or help organize please let me know! lol

As stated by someone previously, this was an event to let people "experience" what it would be like to go all out on North Americas fastest race track.
People should be able to follow the pace car at the speed regulated by the pace car.
There will always be people who are not comfortable taking corners quickly. All they're interested in is going fast in a straight line.
Such as the case with the 2 cars that were in front of me.
These people were braking in the middle of the corners!
We were doing a decent pace after those 2 cars pulled off into the pits.
Some people can handle it, others can't.
Trying to organize "fast" people and "slow" people is next to impossible. Especially with the limited amount of time we have on the track.
It's basically a roll of the dice where you're going to end up in the line up.
Last year I got stuck in the middle of the pack where we barely broke 130km/h.
This year I got lucky and was further in front. We averaged around the corners at 130km/h where the back straight saw some "real" speed.

I didn't even get to go too quick on the main straight ... I'm not trying to be a douche bag or anything but I was still hoping to go a little quicker. Anyways, I'm not going to talk too much I'm not here to start a war with anyone. I'll just be paying for the lapping days from now on.
Anyways ... glad to hear decent money was raised for the charity which is the main purpose of the event.
