Just so you all know, Joe was just a model I asked to stand by the engine as it was assembled.

Assembly was balanced for 10k rpm

Joe pretending to do stuff... "what's this piece here for?"

See? Smiling while torquing bolts... just a model...

If anyone wants PP housings, call up Goopy. He practically gives them away as he finds them useless.

The housings I used in this build are legit Mazdaspeed housings which actually cost $1500 each, once you see one in person, you can tell where the cost comes from.

But your right, I have a few sets of PP housings from Goopy, not quite the same as the Mazdaspeed housings but I'm sure they will work!

The engine almost looks miniature in some of those photos! Makes you appreciate how much punch comes out of such a small little thing

Yah, I knew those were new housings which I assumed were Racing Beat. Are the Mazdaspeed ones different? Is there some kind of machine work on the back of the exhaust port around the sleeve?

Not sure that the Mazdaspeed and Racing Beat housings are any different, they look the same as Racing Beat housings, at least the pictures of RB housings.

Lots of port work done by hand with these housings, the intake sleeve is tapered and the actual port shape is oval, the exhaust port is also ported by hand. Not sure what you mean by machine work around the sleeve?

I mean the outside around the sleeve, the black areas... Is that just a camera thing or is there actually something there?
