Which secondary injectors are you using?

I recently bought some bosch 1600 injectors. only to discover that they have a mind of their own when they first stage on. so every time i mash the gas pedal or shift gears, the secondaries stage on at 1psi and i get a hesitation. now my old 1000cc RC injectors didn't do this. so i'm wondering if these injectors can be tuned to compensate for they're sporadic behavior or should i buy new injectors?

You'll have to adjust your transition to compensate for the bigger injectors. I'm using Bosch as well and I'm pretty sure most 1600cc's that people are using are the same. You can try stretching your primaries a little further also.

well the problem is that if i slowly press the throttle. the AFRs are perfect as it goes into boost. but if i mash the gas pedal, then i get the hesitation. so i'm assuming that if i change the values for mashing the pedal, i'd end up with horrible AFR's for cruising uphills or slowly going into boost.

No, you need to adjust the fuel compensation (pump shot) that the injectors put out when you "mash" the throttle. The rest should stay the same, so I think anyway.

its not the injectors. with proper tune you will have no issue with inj staging. on the FD's 550/1680 is the norm for big single turbo. staging them shouldnt be a problem. what computor are you running?
