If the car is lowered properly and the alignment doesn't cause the car to handle any differently, you shouldn't have a problem. It is at the descretion of the mechanic, though. I'd just try again at a different shop. If the car is slammed, don't bother unless you raise the car back up, any car that is really low is a hazard and shouldn't be safetied.

Find another Place to do the Safety. It's Sometimes a Pain in the *** to get a Lowered car on the Hoist to check it out.If the Mechanic is just Plain Lazy.He may give an Excuse to get out of havin to Run around the car and jack it Up manually. If the Car has been Lowered Correctly,It shouldn't Compromise the Safety of the car...also Thinkin you may have "have fun" with a Dyno test for AIR Care too.But they do have alternatives for the Dyno at the Mechanic's discretion too.(just my .02 cents on it)

Getting it on the lift is usually their concern, limitation.

Good luck.

it does not matter if the car is lowered (excluding cut springs), as long as the alighment is within spec. if they're telling u that they can't do the inspection b/c the car is lowered, they're just being *** hats and don't want to deal with the "headache" of getting a lowered car onto the hoist.
