RX7 At TMP Oh Baby

Seeing as no one has commented on the Cougar at Mosport video, this one may attract some comments;

Its Gary grants first race ever and as you can see from the video he was at max processing capability. I expect given some time to think about the day, he would really be able to let fly. As it was, he was doing 1:30's. The fastest I have gone around TMP in the RX7 was a 1:19.2 on older tires. It would be exciting to see how fast I can go around there now with the different box and various tire types I have available.

Pass me that driver seat, Ill let you drive the FD for a few laps!

1:30 is still pretty good and I am sure after a bit more experiences like that, he should be able to psh it a bit more. The best I ran was 1:24 on old Potenzas that were overheating after 2 laps, but then again, that is like comparing apples and oranges Road racing is serious change from Time Attack as it requires more multitasking IMO. I have been up against a few drivers at lapping events that drive like they are running an actual circuit race and boy does it get me excited! I actually prefer road racing over time attack as it requires a lot of checks and always looking two or three corners ahead while making sure you are in the correct lines and not to mention staying up to speed with everyone else!

I have watched your other videos but I get too lazy to write a reply

The next time you go for a lapping day at TMP let me know! It is fun going with others as you learn a thing or two and that NA motor has a nice ring to it!

Here is a magazine article about the event. Those of you with cages in your car and can dig up a decent set of safety equipment (I have spares) should really look at coming out next year. Its a ton of fun and cheaper than a lapping day.

Nice. Still will not be able to attend such an event. Half cage is more then enough for a street car

Sigma or Regional Time attack or CASC for now. If I actually do get the car fully tuned and ready

Thanks to 01 and 23 for the time and effort for sure.
