Pretty entertaining show, more so than usual. It did look like he upped the boost for the last race. The car launched harder too.

I think "mismatch" is an understatement. A single cam 1.6L stock only puts out 125hp. Give them the benefit of not being complete idiots and say that the motor was built to handle higher boost...maybe 10 or 12psi........its still only a 250....maybe 300hp car. The FC on the other hand was easily pushing 380 to 400hp.

The best parts of that episode:
1. The full race guys looking at the RX...."Man that things small", "its a nice looking rotary, decent sized turbo" (its a gt42 you tart!...nice size? pffttt) - LMAO
2. RX owner..."This thing is WAYYY hot"
3. Rx owner..."Don't worry it'll start..."
The only time that 7 was driven to capacity was the very last race...the civic had what was it 3 lengths? and the 7 was on his bumper before the civic got rollin'...
I think the cars were evenly matched enough that with equal driving and equally witted negotiations it would have been closer....but those guys in the civic had NOOO idea what that car was capable of - evidenced by the amount of races that they GAVE the RX lengths.
Chalk up one spanking for another civic....

We get on the track, and we are racing a white FC RX7. these guys think this thing is a 9 sec. car or something!!! They really thought it was FAST, I don’t think they realized it was actually a pile of crap.
The first pass the car runs an 11.2 @ 130, with a 1.79 60’, shifting slow and the engine was bogging in between shifts. At the end of the track, a slick blows out and the car smacks the wall. The in-car video of this is insane. We trash both slicks.
11.7 quarter mile, not really a POS.. the fake nitrous hoping to pull a fast one on speedmachine was smart.. never expected that... Sly bastards!

Pinks adds the element of cheating and out-witting your opponent. I've seen some pretty stupid matches on that show. Guy brings say an 11 Second car (the guy that made the challenge). The Other guy brings a 7 second bracket car. Its just plain stupid sometimes.
Smart trick on the NOS. Thats usually the first thing the other team wants out of the car.

The civic was running 30 psi , and dynoed at 460 I believe. But a silicone coupler came loose , thats why they lost so bad. ( and or sandbagging )
