Well as we all have said time and time again we need to get a meeting set up for some time this summer, i have 2 really good idea's in mind.

First idea is getting everyone together and heading up to SIR (Sask international raceway) and get one hell of a good showing for the RX-7 community. So far SIR has the days of May 2nd,9th,16th and 30th for the first set of street legal weekends. Im sure around this time we could get at least a small group to go up, set some times and then have a get together for some beers/food afterwards.

Second idea is to get a booth for the Majestics Car show (or take over section of the parking lot whichever works). The date is set for April 26th & 27th. Anyone who went last year i sure was extremly unimpressed with the cars that were there, less then 3 cars come to mind for what was shown. Also im sure you guys were "impressed" with the so called "nice" imports that were there, cause im sure everyone goes to see Metallic purple Sunfires and bunk *** Del sol's when they go to car shows im sure!(insert sarcasm here). so if we could get a few of the guy to show off there 7's and im sure many of us would be willing to help at the booth whether you bring your car or not. Also im going to talk to my Manager at Regina honda and see if i could get an RX8 or 2 to use for the day, more rotaries the better i say.

So i would like to hear all the feedback i can get from you guys, cause i know we all wanna run our cars and show them off. I really wanna see both of these events go down as im sure everyone else wants to as well. hope you guys like the idea.

 

It's an interesting idea, but I'm going to have to get back to you on that. Whether I can have my cars displayed or not, I'd still love to help make this work if I'm in still in the province.

 

Lucky im sure that people would rather a nice Stock FD then a retarded 70,000 invested civic, and im sure ewveryone around here agrees

 

you should expand it to include some of the guys from s'toon (like me) maybe a car show and bbq? at a halfway location? that way it would also be a good cruise day to meet up

 

Thats what i meant by Regina and area, so anywhere in Cananda should show up lol, more the better.

 

I know I'de be up for whatever, love to meet some of you Saskatchewan. My car's nothing special, stock and what not, but it's far from beat up.

I would love to help even if I dont have my 7 any more! So if anything comes out of this someone please PM me. Also has anyone considered getting a bunch of people out to a QCMA event? Ozmodiar and I took our 7's out a whole bunch last year and it was a blast.

 

Count me in for a the SIR event, I SHOULD have a running engine by then. As far as the car show, I wont be able to enter my Rex (Sorry Aura! I'm going to have to start calling it mine eventually, might as well start..) She wont be car show ready. HOWEVER:

If we do want to get a booth together for you guys that DO have good looking rex's, I plan on taking the 13b in my car now and stripping it apart for display purposes. It would make a great educational tool and would be a really nice highlight to a booth.

 

ill try and be there for both those events. I hope ill be able to have my car ready by then, ill have to work my *** of to try and make it As long as I can get it tuned by sometime in april ill be able to attend both events.

 

Sounds good so far guys, anyone is welcome for sure, we should all get together for beers sometime this month. any ideas?

Well, my car is butt-ugly, but I'm hoping to have her up and running sometime in May. It'd be nice to see how my new carbs perform at the 1/4 mile.

'Course, I should probably paint the silly thing, but that takes effort. :p

 

im in for sure i dont know how many saskatoon guys there are either but ive seen a few around town and am definately up for meeting some of you eventually maybe hit up a B.Ps for appys and drinks!

This does sound like a great idea, however my car is going to be garaged for a while until I can get a crap load of body work done. Runs and drives great but the rust monsters love it more. I would definitely be willing to help out in any way I can.
