Recommendations on Where to get a S5 Turbo Engine?

can someone recommend a supplier for these? i want to wrap up the turbo swap and have everything except the engine. I've heard bad things about tiger japanese, and after calling them and speaking to them a couple of times, i'd rather not.

Do yourself a favour and have one rebuilt instead of buying used. It is a crap shoot when you buy a used engine. The money would be much better served towards a rebuild. Buy used kegs, tear them down till you have a complete set of usable internals then pay a builder to rebuild it for you. Or alternatively ask someone like Rotary Dynamics for a price with them supplying everything. They have lots of good used internal parts on their shelves.

^ honestly, its reached the point where I don't want to be searching for parts myself anymore, especially now with time restrictions, i'd rather just get everything at once, installed and be done with it.

do you know if there's a builder who may have a complete motor for sale?

what parts do you need?

I've parted out over 10 motors this year and have enough sets of internals to make at least a few.

I'd recommend that you stay away from tiger, unless you like getting ripped off!

What sort of time restrictions are you looking at? We have several engine parts and could peice together an engine for you if your interested.

Terrh,

I have the transmission, pumpkin and driveshafts from a turbo, i just need the entire motor, turbos, intercooler, harness, ecu and random bobs that would go with it

R.P.M.

Time restrictions are pretty loose i'd say...not looking to put it in the car till spring (around march?).

Personally, just sell the n/a car and buy a TII and save yourself a lot of trouble and expense.

Goto Tiger, Compression test the motor and have a good look over and you should be fine.. DON"T BUY IT until you compression test it I'd say getting a front clip would be ALOT easier.
