Is Re Speed still operating?

Is Re Speed still operating? Been trying to contact them with no luck.

Contact Sam (dj55b). Depending on when the last time you spoke to someone at Re-Speed, you may not have heard that ownership has changed, and the company has moved up to Londom, ON under Sam's engineering company SHQE.

Did you try this page?
SHQE Manufacturing / RE-Speed

I talked to Sam a couple months ago so last I heard everything is still operational.

Well, since I posted the question, Sam shows up a lot in this thread and it is pretty scary,

Have been talking to a bloke from Australia on Facebook and he sent them over a grand in June for exactly what I am looking for and he has given up on ever receiving the parts or his money.
Really interested in doing a steering rack conversion and the RE Speed soulution appears perfect. Since he is only a couple of hours away, I thought it we be relatively easy. Would still do it with assurances.

This is very disappointing.... I got several parts from Sam this past winter and in the spring. He was very helpful and prompt for me. Even special ordered custom parts to fit my Rx-4. I wonder what happened.....

I dealt with Sam when I lost some of the specialized hardware and was having trouble finding a local source. (I lived in the boonies then) He sent me what I was missing no charge even though I'd ordered the parts from Billy. I imagine there's an explanation that he doesn't want to use as an excuse publicly, one or two man machinist shops tend to back up pretty quick if someone's off for a bit for any reason, crucial gear breaks and takes time to be replaced, etc.

Tom, I installed the Rack & Pinion kit myself and love it. No problems other than that I didn't tighten the steering arms - tie rod end links tight enough and ended up wearing some wheel off. User incompetence. The car steers like a dream. A buddy co-drove my car at an autocross and had FTD with a poorly tuned 12A with some pretty hot cars there.

But, unless you are willing to sell me yours, how do I get one?

Fair enough. The website claims Sam was logged in on 25 Sept, but he hasn't posted since August.

Sam has always treated me very well. In a situation similar to Viich's, a friend's FB Project was missing a piece of the steering kit that got lost in the shuffle between shops. Sam had a new piece out to me in no time flat and was always prompt on responses to questions.

I last spoke to him just a few weeks ago, though I missed out on attending the BBQ at his shop. Last I heard business was busy but good.

As folks have said here, PM either the Re-Speed.com user or his personal account dj55b and see where that gets you. Otherwise, the contact info on his web page (link below) is good. His cell number is listed there, though his provider has been sketchy about delivering texts in a timely manner.

SHQE Manufacturing / RE-Speed

according to the other thread he has shipped out parts to customers without contacting them. Im sure he is just over busy at the moment and once winter hits (cars get garaged generally) he should slow down some. I am still waiting for him to respond to my custom RLCA's I'd like him to make for my R&P kit. If you are interested in his kit I recommend it highly. just be sure to do the quick ratio because if you dont you are wasting money imho. What I am saying is if you dont do quick ration you are spending a grand on something that can be done for under $200 by doing a second gen subframe swap

I called Sam on both numbers and left messages. PM'd him on facebook and emailed through the website. No luck. I am still interested and would travel to London if it was necessary. I could wait 4-8 weeks for delivery, but if I couldn't get the parts by February, that would put the mod in jeopardy.

I seen Sam yesterday. Business is very good and he is very busy, and not just with rotarys. When the RX7s go into hibernation, he still has work in many other areas.

I asked Sam about that bloke in Australia. Money was never paid in advance, and the parts were shipped long ago. The issue is they are stuck in transit half way around the world and this guy is so anxious, he wants Sam to ship another set of parts again. (Maybe this time the bloke will pay a little extra for express shipping if he is going to be so impatient.) For now, it has been dealt with.

He would probably chat more if he wasn't busy. Give it a week and bug him again.

Missing parts

I wonder what's up with Sam, I tried to reach him on mail but he wont answer.
I paid him over 1000dollar for suspension parts to my RX. It is over 2 months ago.
Hope I get the parts soon.
Does anybody know what's up?

Shipping is a big factor with International orders. It takes time and it is expensive. Domestic shipping in the States is cheap and quick compared to here. Canada is a big country. We cross 6 time zones, you know.

Sounds like Sam is taking business tips from Chris at CP Racing lol.

Sending an email to tell people he received money from them and the order is being processed has nothing to do with time zones.
