quick Questions about motor building

hey guys just a couple quick questions

For the Omp Holes in the housings and intake manifold I went to canadian tire and bought M10x1.50 Bolts but they are slight long and dont bottom out Can i use High temp rtv and tighten them down? would that be effective Or should i just get some nuts on the Bolts and use the copper gasket

And for setting the end play on the e-shaft once the motor is together do I have to put a flywheel on and torque it down?

Just get a m10x1.5 nut spin it on, grind off as much as you need to, and spin the nut off, no burr to worry about. You can use a copper washer, won't hurt anything. A Die of the same pitch does the same thing.

You don't need to have the flywheel on, but most people do, just because it's done, you can take your reading off the main pulley as well.

I'd put the flywheel on and have it all torqued to spec to measure it. It really shouldn't make a difference, but you don't have to touch it to adjust the endplay anyway. If there is a problem you can still leave it in place.

I used longer bolts and cut them with a dremel,Then I took the copper crush washers that were On the Oil injectors and used them on the Bolts.
