Bri, read the thread. There are ottawa guys going, we're trying to decide on a meeting point.
There's the meeting point at Will's for those wanting to take old highway 17.
I'm trying to set up a meeting point for people who don't want to haul *** all the way out to Will's that early or would rather take the 417. It would be too inconveniant for Steve and I, so I was thinking of a more centreal point (Close to St. Laurent).
We can always go in two groups and meet there
Jon

yeah, i forgot that Montreal is a big place. in the past though it's usually taken me about 2 hours, but maybe those places aren't as far as this.
anyways, Jon just post if you think of somewhere to meet. if you want suggestions on breakfast places around St.Laurent, there are 2 i can think of: Cora's and Perkins.
but if it's really going to take 2.5 hours (and i don't feel like getting another speeding ticket on the busy highways), then looks like i'd rather leave from Will's at 9:30 or so.
Evil, i'll be burning my own eyes if i don't get my exhaust leak fixed by the weekend, lol

It's a misspelling of 'go'. The 'O' and 'P' are very close together on the keyboard.
Cora's sounds good for breakfast between 9:00 and 9:15. Breakfasts are prepped and eaten pretty fast, so we can be on our way out by 9:45 at the latest. That way we'll be travelling on a full stomach, we'll have a central meeting point for everyone to easily reach by that time, and we'll be able to cruise together.
The meet starts at noon, and goes late into the day. That should give us enough time to get there, at the LATEST, by 12:30. Depending on speeds, and how long it takes to get to the other end of the island, we could even be early.
In any case, that's the plan I've got. I'm gonna go with it, and if anybody wants to join Steve and I for breakfast and cruise down the 417 route, they're welcomed to. Anyone who wants to hook up with Will and them, and head the scenic old highways can meet those guys there.
I think that works best for everyone. It gives folks two different routes, two different meeting spots, two different departure times. Lots of choice, and it works
We'll all end up as a big happy rotary group when we hit mtl anyway
Jon
- My group meet at Cora's between 9:00 and 9:15 for breakfast
1530 St-Laurent, K1G 4A3
Map Here
Leaving Ottawa around 9:45, traveling the 417
- Will's group meets at Will's place at 9:15, leaving at 9:30 taking the scenic old highway 17
(couldn't remember the address, but I think I got close by eye)

I was cool for this weekend because my g/f is in the states doing some cross-boarder shopping.
Next weekend I probably can't...
Should we try and throw a gathering of the local ottawa guys? Since most of us wrote the day off anyway for mtl, we could always make use of it.
