Power to Manual Conversion

Does anyone know shops within the GTA that would be able to properly convert a power rack to a manual rack? There was a member here from london that did it but I forgot who =(. Any help would be appreciated.

Post shop name and numbers!

its really not that hard, i took it all apart removed the seals and lines, then welded the old fittings shut to keep the dust out. the hardest part was getting those stupid inner tie rods off.

You could easily do it yourself with basic tools and a little internet research. IMHO

just curious - why not source a manual rack?

flyin' miata has a good walkthrough, it should be a pretty similar process

The power rack offers a better ratio and is more commonly found.

Let me know when you're free! Not really in a rush, still got a couple bottles of lucas power steering fluid to go through.

its not so hard to pull out the rack seals and close off the rack or even loop the lines. If you were out west I could help you out :p

You have to remove the valving on the quill, and weld the quill shut; it's not just take it apart, cut out seals, grease, reassemble and weld the old fittings shut.
