PICS before and after rims + Rotary Dynamics Engine Bay
I haven't posted pics of the FD yet so here goes it. I think the most dramatic change you can make to the exterior of a car is a rim change.
Before

After ENKEI RPF1 18 x 9.5 with Dunlop Direzzas 255 front, 275 rear and yes I know I need to lower it.

AND finally some engine bay pics before detailing this spring.

I 'll take some interior pics when I get a chance.

Yes they did. I highly recommend then for FD service big or small.
Don't worry Dom it disturbs me equally to have the same rims as you.
Yes it is, thanks for the fast shipping. TurboJeff should do another run of these they are a great product.
Thanks man, they are actually 255s on front. I wanted to go 265 all the way around so I could rotate tires but I couldn't get a straight answer on fitment so I went staggered. I am waiting on some Konis and H&Rs so she'll be about an inch lower by spring.

Hey I use a very similar prop rod. I don't have a high buck red one. My prop rod is the natural wood version, carefully preserved with hand rubbed in oils (LOL) over many years. I treasure it and will keep it and adapt it for all my future race cars.
Remember to treasure your prop rods. They are precious and should be treated with care.

I will freshen up the brakes in spring as well as the suspension. Beyond that I will install the stereo components I have and drive. I plan on daily driving it this summer so no down time. Hopefully next winter I'll join the ranks of single turbo FD owners.
Should go black Charn, that way it'll match all the other Rotary Dynamics FD's

Looks great and I'm sure your relieved to be back in the land of the spinning triangles!!

Oh ok... i thought you were going to pull a neo, and never open the hood... because that would require lots more harassment on my end...
New Rims and Engine Bay
Those rims compliment the rest of the car very nicely. Good Choice.
Engine bay looks very good also.
Hope to see your ride in person at one of the meets this coming summer.

so Lawyers Spirit are u gonna lower your car?
i have been pondering this myself for a long time now.
sure it looks cool but thats about the only advantage i can come up with.
might handle a little better aswell i suppose but the downsides of bottoming out everywhere and mashing up the front fenders is less then desireable.
what do u think?

Stock height on the FD is really high.
If you have the right spring and shock setup you won't bottom out.
Another big consideration you need to take into account is if you have bigger than OEM wheel/tire combo.
I've lowered my car at least 1.5 inches all around. I have no problems with the car. I'm running 99 spec wheels with 245/40 front and 255/40 rears.
As long as you don't over due it with the lowering, the car will be fine.

well the front end is very low with an aftermarket front bumper/ chin spoiler. its scapes quite a bit @ the stock ride height.
18" rims on an fd will give u more ground clearance but it will also close the fender gap. this in turn will allow more rubbing of the front wheels. nothing worse then cracking and flaking the paint on the lip of the fender

I hear what you're saying.
You've basically come to the proper conclusion. With your parts it will not be possible to lower the car any further without doing damage to the front spoiler or the wheel fenders.
Not to mention any steep angled driveways you'll encounter.
