Picked up a new FD!

Picked up a new FD!
So I got offered an FD I just could not refuse. Struck the deal and immediately called the tow truck. I just finished unloading it and it was cold so this is the only picture I took but more will come tomorrow. Basically, my plan is make this car my daily driver during the summer again and use it for some R&D I have in mind. I want to try to make 400 rwhp on stock twins. What this allows me to do is finally convert the 20b beast into a full race car as I'll have an FD to drive around in the summer again.

Congrats. Will you need alcohol injection for this project too?

Took a short video. Not bad for a 5k FD . I'm going to try to keep it simple without water/meth and try the emissions legal approach and see how far I can get with some R&D. It won't be a priority and will probably only start happening by fall or next winter.

Already flushed the coolant system and block like 3 times plus a fresh oil change. There was so much crap in there, I think coolant seal failure might be in the future but there is zero smoke so far. I put fresh coolant in it so hopefully I can take it down to DGRR as is, we'll see, gotta test it a bit when the weather warms up.
Only thing the car really needs is some intakes, a stereo and some cleanup for now.

Mileage is about 175k km. So I spent most of the weekend fixing little things on the car and getting it road worthy. Got the exterior and interior dash lights working while fixing the wiring hack, one of the previous owners did trying to get the headlights working. Spent at least 3 hours fixing the headlight assemblies, lining up the headlight cover lids and putting on the bumper to properly to sit relatively flush. Installed a stock BOV because I didn't like how the turbo's were surging on throttle let off with only the HKS BOV. It sounds cool but I know it will diminish turbo life long-term. Then I wired up a deck only to find out that the car has no speakers lol. So I'll have to find some speakers for the car. Also, put some Royal Purple injector cleaner/fuel stabilizer in the tank and some fresh gas in there for good measure.
Things I still need to do...
- intake filters
- speakers
- find center console storage compartment above deck
- fix odometer
- Undo Emissions delete under the UIM as I want the car to pass emissions legally
- delete double throttle and port
- replace or upgrade bent sway bar mounts
- replace some broken/old exterior rubbers
- replace starter, sometimes it cranks fast and starts easy, other times it cranks slow, I already cleaned the connections on it
- clean/paint all the aluminum bits and just "pretty up" the engine bay
- confirm if coolant seals are good (I have a bad feeling with how nasty the coolant looked)
- fix rear main seal oil leak if I don't have to pull the engine

Here's hoping the engine doesn't need to be pulled.
I remember having to deal with the stereo upgrade. Man, what a PITA. But a nessasary one. The stock speakers disintegrated. I was hoping the deck was going to be easy, but as I found out, the harness for every type of player is essentially different.
Regardless it looks like it's coming along...
