Photo Spots in GTA
Hey everyone,
I'm getting more and more involved in this dSLR photography thing, and I've had a few people ask me to photograph their cars. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share their favourite photo spots around the GTA.
I'm always looking for new cars of different colours and new areas to experiment with so if you'd like to donate your car for a photoshoot I'll do it basically for free if you're within 10-15km of my house or workplace (Ajax/Leaside). I'm not a professional yet so I can't guarantee you'll like every picture but the more cars I shoot, the quicker I can learn.
Thanks!!
Charles

Hey Charles, I just picked up a car, and it would be cool to get some pics of it. I'd be willing to drive up once the cars on the road.
There's a place called rattlesnake point in burlington that i've used before. your suppose to pay to get in though.
I'd say anywhere you can get on a field with some nice trees and such behind it. It'd be awesome to get one beside a billboard for it. But I know that's not happening.

Howcome you have to pay to get into rattlesnake point? Is it a conservation site or something?
What kind of car? And for sure! Let me know when you're ready and we'll head out!
Edit: Now that I think about it... My cousin actually got married near rattlesnake point, I don't remember exactly where but isn't RS point in Milton?

Well, I've been taking most pictures in my basement, Go to like Costco at Yorkdale, at night, Empty parking lot. or Early in the morning, Still empty. I know of a hill by Caledonia and Castlefield Right above Lowe's I haven't went to take photos yet, but the scenary is great.
Although the car might be down on a 55 degree...
So far, that's it, for now I need to find a tranny

just kidding So you're talking about big empty parking lots at night?
Depending on the car, Such as your RED vert, try and look for a nice red something. For my car since its white, its good with dark places. So if you find like a red stripe or a fire exit or something, use it. Always think of the car and the way it looks. And the lighting around it.

There are the office buildings off hwy7 near the 404.
My bro used that local for his first photo shoot. It's got some interesting ramps and structure.
I think we'll be heading back to that area once we get some nice weather and he has some time away from his kid.
Another building would be the Powerstream building just north of Major Mac. It's got a nice structure to it.

I'm starting to find that photo spots aren't really photo spots until you make them photo spots
A side road off of Laird:

Right at the end of the Bayview Extension before King st? i think

A warehouse parking lot in Leaside area:
this made me laugh for a while

Also, has anyone heard of a road called twyn rivers? it's off of sheppard between whites and morningside, and passes the toronto-pickering border. It's quite a nice twisty little road!

cs13b,
The Power Stream building can be seen off the 400, just north of Major Mack.
It's got (from what I can see) dirt around that area. So it's still pretty fresh. They have another building going up there as well.. but nothing too interesting to it's shape.
Those are some nice locals you found. I think I'll suggest them to my bro.

i personally like office buildings in the background, with all the glass windows behind the car, feels like the car is very modern
