Parts car value

I might have the chance to buy a vary vary rough 92 r1 fd for 3k I only need about $400 in parts to get my fd in to 100% shape. All parts are there but just wanted to know is there is a market in canada for the parts and if I could make my money back fast.

So you want to spend $3000 on a JDM car, carve off a couple pieces for yourself, and part out the rest, hoping to recover the $3000?

What is so rough about it?
Does the engine run? Have compression? Tranny ok?
Are the body panels (hood, bumpers, taillights, wing) salvageable?
Is some of the interior good enough to part out? Gauges?
Rims?

Or you could just spend the $400 and not worry about trying to part out a car over a long period of time.

Not running all electrical I pulled and engine striped I had the engine spinning with wrench but can't tell if compression is good.( seamed to be to easy to turn over) tranny moves smooth but could not test more then that. Has a stock 93 urethan front all twisted up back stock is good, has a second fibreglass 99 want a be, a pillar gage pod with oil temp and oil pressure. Only mods look to be intake and muffler. It is in pieces but every thing is there , random colours with cheap paint job on the body. Red to blue conversion attempt .it is a mix of 2-3 cars. Has 3 factory spare tires 1 set of factory 5 spoke rims a bad set second set in need of tlc he has a parts pile with some interior panels even some ldh stuff to. I put in an offer at $2700 will see what he comes back with
