Ontario guys, MTO question

These offices (licensing offices) aren't open on weekends are they? I'm likely going to GTA next weekend to look at a car, and will need a trip permit to get it home. Any ideas?

some of them are open on saturdays between 9 and 12, but most aren't.

I'd suggest a tow, or waiting till monday

Well, if ya can't tow it, your SOL. MTO is not open in most places on the weekends. Here in Chatham, they are so eagar to get the weekend started on fridays that they actually close early most of the time. Lazy bastards. Worse than bankers hours at times.

How about offering to pay for half of the permit and have the seller pay for the other half and have him/her get the permit during the week? Just a thought. Permits are cheap enough that nobody would be left high and dry if the buy didn't happen.

Won't work, the proof of insurance has to be from my insurance company.

Im in Brampton, and licencing offices are open till noon here also on saturday....I think most around the Toronto area have these hours. Check their website & locations for the closest to the sellers area.
