omg somone with knowlage pls help me

dun dun dun .... im starting to loose faith in the second gen section ... i have poeted a thread asbout a possible relay question and everyone keeps telling me check my fuses when i know i dont have a fuse problum .... i have a fuel pump not getting power problum ... now my main relay is fine i checked that but does neone know nething about the other intermediate relay that is tucked behind the dash ?.... because after about 12 hours of total trouble shooting and testing ... it seemsd to be the only thing that i have yet to test i have both the mazda dealer workshop manual and a haynes and they have notr been able to hgelp me thus far exept for giving me the location of this relay ... now unfortunatly i havnt gotten to it yes as im a little to chubby to sqeuze my *** between my seats and my dash lol .. but im tgetting there today ... my cuestion is ... if this relay is malfunctioning would i be able to replace it with just any normal relay ?... or is there a specific relay that i need to use for this application? plz somone help me and dont tell me its a fuse ...

Make sure it has the right # of pins, going to the correct wire and correct minimum amp rating. Just rip one out of a scrap RX7, easy enough.

did anyone ever wire in a fuel shut off switch in this car?

the fuel relay is above the brake peddle under the dash.

could also be the mass air flow sensor, if it is a fast way to check is to
jumper the yellow plug next to the pass side shock tower that will turn
the pump on no matter what the maf says.

not sure if thats any help or not

Yeah, relays are relays. If you hit up a princess auto, you can get one for like $10, with a wiring harness. then grab the wiring diagram online, and go to town.

Do check your relay input and grounds just to make sure you're not barking up the wrong tree.

not an expert by any means on this one..but I would check the fuse at the block .under the dash..driver's side kick panel..in the corner..there is one for fuel pump ..and isn't there a relay at the tank..behind the driver's rear wheel?..behind the walled carpet?..(hope i'm not adding to confusion)..I took a relay out there when I parted my 88..(sorry about the fuse thingie!..just reread your thread..)..edit..if you need a relay for that location..I have one..sittin in my Tool box..

well guys i appreciate all the feed back but i found out what my problum was the previous owner was a do it yourselfer just ike most of us 7 guys ,,,, and well i guess some wiring needced to be done and he took the initiative .. the wiring he did was on the relay behind the dash ... he used solderless felame conectors to make it simple and preaty well my car rides kinda rough and it has shaken one loose thus not providing sufficent power to my pump and thus not allowing my pump to actualy pump fuel .. so after about 20 hours of trouble shooting and 5 hours of readin through both haynes and the mazda workshop manual i found the relay reconected the wire and VAAAROOOOOOOOOOM the bitch runs ..... im realy glad to this leaves me with enough funds to continue with my suspention set up .. wahooooooo
