"Honestly, i'm very split on what is going on in Ottawa right now. And by split, I mean I can't decide what will be worse for the economy... the constant denile from the consertives that there actually is a problem or the incredably stupid political turmoile that the other parties are causing. I agree that this is political opertunist at it's worst, using the economy as justification; but either way the economy, and the people of Canada, will be the ones who suffer. "

"So right now it looks like we have to decide whether to shoot ourselves in the right foot or the left foot."

Craig

Craiger, you make a good point. I guess I am like most Canadians looking at this as the 2008 award for bad timing. The Canadian people will be the ones to suffer regardless of what happens..........I wish we could finally get a good strong leader with a party that actually backs him/her.

Regardless...........Merry Christmas to all.

^ Seriously... Harper almost got run out of town for not putting together a stimulus package, then suspends parliament so that he can put together a stimulus package (and appoint 16 senators, you know, so that he can create his elected senate...)

Ah well, Stevie can't be expected to tell the truthe all the time (or once...)

The conservatives were voted in with the most votes, it should be their ball game until the next election. Harper can't really present a budget until he knows what the U.S is doing, and a cololtion like this should be grounds for martial law. As far as being a bully goes i think every party that has power becomes the bully. The liberals should never be allowed to have a leadership position in our country ever again after all the probelms they caused and after their rein of terror. curse them for dismantling our military, trying to take away our firearms and planning to charge us more money for fuel.

yea, its pretty clear he's as deceptive as they come and could be a little dangerous with a majority. but still would rather have his views moving us through next few years with a minority consience correcting his mitakes as we go . Looks like thats now going to happen
