Talking

Joe, that sound is really nice, but it aint nothin compared to a top fuel car (that you feel more than hear), to a high compression big block Can Am car winding out at 8,000 rpm or a small block chevy, high compression engine running 180 degree headers. All of those give me goose bumps. These are manly manly sounds.

Another engine is any of the old flat 12 Ferrari's or Alfa Romeo's or Matra's winding out to about 15,000 rpm. A 3 rotor at full chat comes close, but the 12 cylinder has a high rpm howl that has to be experienced to believe.

Besides, the 3 rotor is just another Diedrick motor (ducks and runs), lol.

Actually Dave knows and has forgotten more about rotaries than almost anybody. I respect his building capability and his car prep is right up there. Dave is a decent guy who has never really received the respect he deserves for his accomplishments.

I would have to 2nd that Eric, and here is a clip from 1990 that features Dave winning the championship race is his RX3 against a RX7 that was 3 times the cost.

Wow. Yummy. Is that the car he was trying to sell last year? Looks great and extremely well prepared.

If I sell my house I could buy the car, but then I'd have no place to keep it. I'll have to sleep on that...

Sounds Good
Now there will be more people getting the dirty looks for noise... lol Man they were still complaining with our 50lbs lava muffler on...

The ferrari v12 is maybe one of the best sounds from a race car i have ever herd....

We are trying a 2 muffler system this year to try and reduce noise. I am going deaf even with ear plugs driving that thing. We are using a Borla XR1 at the rear and a Racing Beat power pulse under the middle.

Ah, I just looked inside this thread. This car sounds epic up close. The custom work is great on it. I'd like to drive it

i've seen the car first hand also and have to agree his work on it is top notch just like anything else. I've also seen him in the process of building of the engine. Everything was looking realy good there too
