Oh no! Registration Issue?

So I was just on the Ontario Ministry of transport website, and it says you must change the vehicle over within 6 days of owning it. I've had the 7 for a couple months now and haven't registered it yet. I'm doing that Tuesday. What the f do I do now? Do you guys think this will be a problem?

Just make sure the dates say it's less then 6 days ago that you bought it. Otherwise i guess they might make you get another bill of sale from the seller. Not sure but if you can just change the date w/o making it too noticable on the bill of sale then you should be ok.

I wouldn't worry about it. Just tell them you had it in storage.

I'd get another bill of sale, but the guy I bought it from moved to BC.

Actually she didn't say a thing about the dates. Funny how that worked.

Don't worry about it.

When I bought my Scirocco, I was also worried about it. I didn't have it safetied yet, so I went to the Ministry thinking I have to switch it over anyway. The lady at the counter then told me not to bother, but wait until it's safetied, otherwise I'd have to pay once to transfer it as a vehicle unfit for the road, and then pay the $25 or whatever again once it's safetied. I expressed my concern for the previous owner, wouldn't want him being liable for anything, and she said it's not a problem at all, he is in no way liable for the vehicle anymore since he signed off the ownership. So, I waited 3-4 months until it was all safetied, etc. (needed a lot of work) and did the transfer then, with my original bill of sale, without any problems.
