Odd FB find on Craigslist

Interesting, not an FB guy but thought I'd get some opinions on its appearance. Not promoting the ad obviously.

It looks much like a mariah Mode 1 widebody kit, but with vented front fenders I guess. I had never heard of this series of modified vert FB's

15,000 bucks..
I can make 5 TII's for that price!
The 'rare Part" would be ME paying 15 K for a car!..(ba humbug!..)

You or anyone else. This thing comes up for sale fishing for the right buyer (or sucker at that price) over and over.

Not to knock the car, it is nice, but not FD price nice.

I wouldn't say that. I would call it inspiration to build a factory convertible, like saaaaay, a miata. Now imagine if the miata had a hatchback and convertible option from the beginning.

Nooooow, imagine multiple engine combination's (like a mustang), ranging from a super fuel efficient 1.6L 4 cyl, to a renesis 13b rotary and up to a single turbo 13b.

There would have been more buyers than kerchief wearing cougars out there.

Why build a new rx7, all the tools are there!!!

What a selection that would have been. Just like the mustang, ranging from a 4.0l v6 up to s supercharged 5.4l.

I cant stand all the people bashing this car, its super rare, opportunities to own one of these factory FB verts are few and far between. This is a true collectors car, Id guarantee you wouldnt pull up to one of these things at a stop light. One day this car will be worth double an FD, Id buy it in a heartbeat if I had the coin.

Heres the clip he mentioned in the ad:

Mind you this one isnt the widebody.

That car is fairly close by me here in MA,and I could inspect it for anyone who may want to buy it. I think the asking price is too high, but it is a very rare car,and may be worth it in the long run. For me I like early 78 production SA's so this one has little appeal to me.
