New Miata is out?
So yesturday I was driving my mom to the Square One's farmer's market. We parked in the North lot where the market is, and as I start walking towards the mounds of cherries and peaches I see something... Then I realized it was the new miata.
it's the charcoal metallic, fully loaded (atleast the same as the ones in the magazines, so GT model?). Anyhow 18" alloys. Very nice interior, looks kinda like the mazda3 sport interior but simplified. THe gauges are white face and analog but recessed like the new altimas. Cockpit seems bigger and more bling'd compared to the previous gen miata...
The car still had the neon green stickers on it about air bags and such. The licence was attached to the front grill with black zip ties. I wanted to run back to the car and grab my camera but my mom was waiting impaitently...
I must say it looks even better in person than in the online pictures. I wonder how she autoxs....
Alan... does scarborough mazda have one? Can I come by for a test drive? What are the available options? MSRP? Financing available?

That's a factory car. Essentially a press unit. The plate is on with the ties so the front bumper doesn't have to be drilled for the plate bracket should that car be used for photo shoots with the plate off at some point. Car isn't out yet for retail.

I didn't think they were out until the fall.
They have 170hp from the 2.0L and it's tilted 10 degrees.
Apparently the engine is 42lbs less than the previous gen and 5.3" further back. Curb weight is between 2400-2500lbs.
Rim wise they're suppose to be 16" or 17".

Ive got a 2005 GS (Sport Model) and Im eagerly waiting the arrival of this car. Im slated for a test drive as soon as one becomes availiable for test drive. That way I can go from mine to the new one and tell the differences.
Theres a guy here in the local club with me that flew to hawaii for the HUGE media launch of the car. He accually wrote a whole article on it. To sum it up, the car isnt like 'Holy ****' but it has alot of little things that make the experience more memorable then say the last generation. One feature I particularily like was how the top folds down into the boot meaning you dont have to snap the boot on like previous generations.
