jsut wondering if the government ever thought that by pulling all these cars off the road ..there will be people's livelihood at stake( by that i mean the car owner will not have a car to travel from his house to work ..to pay taxes blah,blah)..it will have more consequences to the economy, than the good of clean air..everyine can't afford a new car and i feel that the Government is trying to control the sales of new cars ..I think it's just their way of backlashing at the public because Gm is pulling 2 plants out of Ontario..( on another note I would like to see what the inventer of the "sniffer " has in his garage..)

Of course the goverment doesn't look at that, they have all the money in the country to pay themselves and buy whatever vehicle they want, they don't care about us, it's obvious about that. It would also help is they fixed the highways so we wouldn't sit there idling and driving at 20km/h on a 400-series highway. It's funny, I was driving on the 401 and i saw a SMART, and remembered that they want to get them off the highways, why's that a problem when during the week you barely get passed 50km/h, it would help with the idling issues costing us money they were complaining about several weeks ago.

Upgrade highways, people spend less time on roads, less gas used, less polution, everyone's happy.

I'm so frustrated with all this emissions crap. Before putting my Cobra away for the winter I had it e-tested because it was going to be due for its first test come January. I had the car tested, it pased and not a couple days later I find out that I was not going to need the test!

Now I find out that my 85 RX-7 might need to be tested because someone decides to once again change the rules... Like my Cobra this car is hardly ever driven. In fact I only drove the RX-7 ONCE last summer. What frustrates me is the constant inconsistancy.

If my RX-7 will required to be tested I have a simple solution. I will let the registration lapse. Make the 7 my track car, means I'll drive it more. Mod the hell out of it (I currently have all my emissions stuff on it). And tow it to the track and Solo events with a very dirty F-350 diesel in a heavy enclosed trailer.

So what will this mean? Means that my rarely driven, emissions equipped 20 year old car will now be bletching out crap, driven way more and harder then it is now, towed by a fuel guzzeling truck beltching out even more crap! And as for myself... I'll be enjoying my car more, driving it more, and less head aches!

Excellent decision making by the Gov. I'd like to thank you for encouraging me to pollute. You know what I think that I should attend more car shows with the 7. You know how I'll get it there? Thats right, that good old F-350 and trailer. All because the government man forces me to pollute.

Oh yeah, the tought of selling the RX-7 did cross my mind... But how do you sell a car that no one can drive or is expensive to pass?

Good job! Yet another well thought out program!

as long as you shoulder check when your driving that F350, I'm behind you 100%
it's a damn shame you drove your first gen ONCE this summer. ****, when we got the big dump o snow, i took my GF's FB(which is waiting on an E-fan install, and wheel bearing adjustment, and a handbrake) and started tearing up the parking lots. I cant get enough of that car.
