well you see the situation is that i sold a blowoff valve to a guy in calgary and he still hasnt sent me any money for it. its been months now... 6 to be exact

and just recently his phone has been turned off. he was supposed to have transfered the money to my bank account (gave him all the info he needed) and he still hasnt done that. i have alot more details if someone is willing to locate his place of business for which i have the name and give me a direct number to the company. please pm me if you can help, thanks

ok guys, thanks to all the help ive received from everyone i have been able to finally get in contact with this guy. it turns out that he's a lieing ******* piece of ****... he kept on saying that he triend sending the money order but it got lost... he didnt have time to go make a bank transfer blah blah blah and now that ive been more than patient waiting for my money he says that hes in a tight situation and cant afford it... so why the **** did he want it and get me to friggin UPS it to him 6 months ago???

now hes sending it back to me and assuring me that it hasnt been used or anything... for those who care i sent him a brand new HKS SSBOV with an aluminum flange in all the packaging, with all manuals and hardware. this friggin pisses me off like hell

i STRONGLY urge everyone to not do any sort of business with him.

Well I'm glad everything has worked out, so far. We'll see when you get your stuff back. You are upset and that's understandable. I don't know the background on Jakob and this deal but I hope it was just a mistake on his part and that he will return the item in good shape, and that a hassle is all this will end up costing everybody involved.

i can only hope rx7 turbo2. its not the fact that its been so long but rather that he kept on lying to me. if he sent the money to me this week then i'd still be more than happy but i know that he would say that he will and wont.

here get this, when i spoke with him today he said that he didnt have money right now and to hold on... so i say "how much longer? 5 months?" and he goes "oh... hopefully not that long" in a laid back tone

now i better get it back promptly and in perfect condition... ill still keep everyone updated

oh and astro... i was asking $235 US shipped with the aluminum flange, but now ill sell it all shipped for $190. pm me if your interested

Well ain't that surprise. I don't know if any of you guys remeber, But before I got my 10AE I was going to buy an 87 TII from Jocob. He was asking $4500. The had been in an accident and the was to include the body work charges. So no problem right. Wrong, the car went in on a monday it was too be done friday and there was no set date for the full payment in the contract. I had already given him $200 deposit. Now the trouble begins. Jacob phones me on saturday and says that the will be done on tuesday. So I say ok just another couple of days right. Tuesday he phones me and says the car was broken into and the "theifs" broke the steering column (now a week erlier before I bought the car jacob said that the car would be kept indors the whole time). Plus if the car was being worked on how would it get broken into unless the body shop was broken into as well. Now here is where **** hit the fan. Wenesday he phones me and says the car is done. So we discused how he wanted the money and I asked him if I could pay for the body work first it was $1700. He said ok and I said I'll have the money for him by friday, and the rest by wenesday. the next day he phones me up and says that the car is not for sale anymore I said why and he said because he needs the money sooner i said that we had a contract. He said ok fine then he was going to sell the two Momo seats that were to be included as per to the contract that he signed. I hit the roof and told him that would involve breaking the contract. Then he said that he wanted the full amount within 48 hours. That is when my dad got involved and we just siad fine give us our deposit back and we will void and tear up the contract. He said ok we left on fairly godd terms and he said he would have the money in a week. now going on a month I have not received any money from him. Which also sucks for him seeing as he cannot sell the car till we receive the money all because of this single piece of paper with three signitures on it.

oh 1bad7 that BOV that you sold to him, he showed it to me and said that it was the only one he had. He was trying to sell it to me for $250 and he said that he bought it from a performance shop down the street from him and this shop was the only place in calgary that sells them.

Just so you know that Jacob is still a good guy and very knowledible in the rotory and the RX7 and he will help you out in what ever you need. Just that he is a lousy Buisness man.

Oh and Jacob if you read this I am still waiting for my money.


I just hope these expierances have proved why to be cautious when doing buisness with this man

hey thanks for telling us your story lil'7... i really hope that you get your deposit back real soon. all this proves is that this guy cant be trusted and everyone should stay away from him. i just sure to god hope that my BOV doesnt just mysteriously disappear during shipping

hey actually, if you still want the BOV then ill have jacob give it to you and ill make u a better deal... if u want. it would save me further shipping costs

Jacob is a kid that works in a convenience store of some kind - everytime he calls me I hear a cash register in the background. He is not a businessman. He has phoned me from time to time looking for parts that he claims "he needs to finish off his car" but that I suspected he was looking to resell. As far as his rotary knowledge goes I don't think it's too extensive. He has spent many hours on the phone to Chris Ng, Maxthe7man and myself. He was constantly asking questions about RX7's and how things work and what modifications to do. Without the "tech" support of the local RX7 community I don't know how much he would have learned about our cars.

But as far as the BOV goes, I dont see why he didnt pay you. I know he has money, if he says he didnt hes just lying. He was probably waiting till he resold it for more $$ until he paid you.

SoloRacer is right he works in his dad's convenience store. His dad is a pretty cool guy. I had no clue about all this calling people, but that would explain why he was listing stuff to do to the 7 as if he was reading it from a textbook.

dr0x- it was the white one. What is this black one you are talking about? When I was there talking to him he had two red ones a white one and a silver one. He told me that he is just trying to sell of all the RX7's he had left so then he could buy a porche.

1bad7 - I would love to take you up on your offer but right now a BOV is next to last on my list first I want to have my car running in perfect stock condition then start modding it.

oh and SoloRacer do you have spare parts for sale or free I promise I will not sell them I actually do need stuff for my 7. If so can you PM me thanks.

I figured I'd jsut stay mum on this post.. but oh well...

I would really reconcider getting anything from Jacob.. It's highly doubtful that much of the parts he has in his garage were aquired by the correct methods..

Count yourself lucky that you didn't purchase the white t2 as it's history is a little shadey.. not to mention Jacob tells everyone a diffrent story about how he aquired his cars and his parts.. I've now heard 4 diffrent stories from diffrent people about how he got the car in his possesion...

I've been burned by Jacob.. he seemed like an okay person at first, however he just turned out to be a scammer.. I thought the kid needed help with his project.. I gave him the ecu from my T2, as well as a turbocharger that he said he neeeded.. He was supposed to get me a sunroof assembly.. that never panned out.. I got a side vent from him as well as an n/a guage cluster and an alternator that tested back...
In the end it turns out that the kid had more then 3 turbos in his garage.. Jacob, if you are reading this.. I'll tell you what.. I'll give you back your useless alt, and your guage cluster.. return my ECU along with the turbocharger .. In the end you were going to take the turbo and sell it for profit.. that is not right at all in my books...

Ahh well, in the end, we know the kid's name, his phone number, where he lives, and where he works.. there's a thing called Karma..

Lil7: He had a black one when I was at his house. I asked him about it (looked good) he said that was the one he drives. But when he went in his house I was looking at it... Who keeps garbage bags on their seats in a daily driver?

But yeah.. as of like a month ago, he had those 2 red rx'7s stripped pretty much, the silver one, the white one (still... was leaking coolant) and his black one.

Hmm this thread got interesting. I'll throw a couple more things into the mix.

I was going to buy a 89+ Jspec motor off Jakob. I went to his house to find the following. 2 motors both not Jspec, and both not 89+. On top of that, I used my girl arms (inside joke) to try and turn the motors over by hand and almost **** out my inards with out a budge from either motor. Both motors are hooped and are not worth buying for anything more than pocket lint. I got lucky his dads car was parked in front of the hoist and we couldnt move it. On top of that most of the storys he told me about the orgin of his cars was conflicting with what he said before. Interesting fact white T2 is reported missing in Calgary, white T2 shows up at Jakobs house, his explanation was shady to say the least you draw your own conclusions.

I don't know what Jakob's up to but it doesnt seem good, I would advise everyone to either not deal with him or do it with extreme caution. I guess I can add him to the list of people I go after if anything on my car goes missing, I think the list is now up to three. What's with these cars, they seem to attact shady people.

Kinda odd he told me his parents owned a supermarket, not a convenience store. Oh well. Those jspecs kinda make sense now... When I talked to him on the phone he was like "oh yeah they come with intercoolers, everything. They are long blocks." But when I was at his house... none of them had an ic.

CHRIS NG: You know, I did not ask for the parts from you in order to resell them. I have a Red RX7 GXL (For quite a while and I still have it) that I wanted to do a TII conversion to. All I am lacking is a harness, if you didn't want to give it to me THEN WHY DON'T YOU SAY SO. BUT why must I justify myself to you? I mean WTF is your problem. If you have a problem with the way I am to use the things that you exchanged with me then why did you even deal with me?? You could have just said "Look Jacob, I don't really trust you, and I can sell it to you for $$$$, or you can screw off", or something to that effect.

Now, ERIC (Soloracer) is an upstanding guy. What you see is what you get. He was like "You want this, then you pay this!" You are the one that told me that your harness is pretty must useless to you and that it had a few components cut off. YOU GAVE me the impression that it wasn't a big deal. YOU are one of the main reasons that I am having financial difficulties right now, ever since you assured me that MAXTHEMAN was going to purchase a J-Spec engine and that I should pick one up for him. It is obvious that I made a mistake in getting that engine, and I was Naive for even thinging that I should purchase the engine (I never talked to MAX, just believed CHRIS's WORD). I just sucked it up and said nothing of it! CHRIS, look how old you are compaired to me... Whats the matter with you? (Believe me! I know that those who are reading are thinking I'm one to talk, but this is direct to CHRIS.)

PS. It is really pathetic when an individual has problems with another that they do not confront them, instead they gossip and complain. They do everything BUT try to address the situation directly, which in most cases, is the most efficient way of dealing with the matter. I didn't want to bring it up, but did I really have a choice?

Those who have delt with me, if you have suspicions, I will be more than happy to provide reciepts of my purchases.

It seems that all of Calgary, now thinks that I am another Kevin.... I do deserve that! BUT I am TRULY sorry that I have made such an impression, and I hope that in the future that should any of you deal with me, you will come to realize that I was just a guy in a tough situation (financially) and I took it on in a very poor manner. Jacob.. what the ****.. you are trying to blame me for the mess that YOU YOURSELF have caused??

#1 you are asking me to justify things to you? sheesh. let's get the facts straight.. My first dealings with you occured when you offered to sell me a sunroof assembly.. you had asked me to call you the next day to pick it up.. lo and behold when i called you the next day you had you cell phone turned off.. I eventually went out and found another source for the sunroof.. 3 weeks later you you finally pm me asking me if I wanted the assembly which you still had not removed.. Fine, I was already abit peeved by this point but didn't care too much.. you asked me if I had a turbo/ecu/wiring harness.. you wanted to do a swap into your gxl.. fine, I thought I would help you out.. since I knew you couldn't afford to pay me any reasonable ammount of money for the parts, I figured that perhaps I could get some parts from you that would suffice.. Let's see.. 1 side door vent.. 1 broken *** alternator, 1 n/a guage cluster..
Tell me jacob.. if you had a few turbo's kicking around your garage, a buncha t2's you were pullilng apart, why would you need the turbo, ecu and harness? *I* lost out in the deal giving YOU a hand with your project, what do you think the turbo and ecu are worth? certainly not worth the crap I got from you.. but I figured I would try and help you out with your project.. not so you could go and make money on the parts..

#2 You called me up one saturday and told me you had an opportunity to purchase a jspec motor.. the only problem was you had to purchase 3 of them to get the price down... you asked if I needed one... I said no.. you asked if Max might have wanted one, I told you I would get ahold of Max and get back in touch with you.. .I gave Max a call and he was intrested, but he wanted to see the motors first... I called you back within 30 mins and told you that he was intrested, but wanted to see the motors first.. YOU NEVER CALLED ME BACK.. I find out from someone else that you turned around and bought the 3 motors anyways... And as it turns out the motors were NOT Jspec and they were also piles of junk.. (On the phone you also mentioned that the motors were series 5 and they had the turbos and manifolds on them... WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU STILL NEED MY TURBO??).. You are trying to pass your own lack of judgement and stupidity on me.. I was not responsible for you blowing $1000 on a buncha junk.. you dug your own grave there...

#3 why the hell are you so shadey? why the hell do you give everyone a diffrent story about how you aquire things? Let's take for example the white T2 you were selling.. why the hell did you give 3 people diffrent stories as to how you aquired the car and as to why you were selling it??

#4 I didn't confront you with the turbo and ecu issue because it wasn't worth my time to deal with you anymore.. I only reason I brought it up now was because I wanted to make sure that people were aware of your shadyness...

Our dealings have all transpired in the last 3 months or so.. your dealings with the BOV was over 6 months ago..you would think that if you had the money to fork out $1000 for the motors, you would have had the cash to purchase the BOV first... once again, do not dare to start passing the blame on me kid..

very good point chris, im more than positive that he has the money but i do not wish to deal with him anymore. now if i receive a BOV that isnt brand new or the one i sent him then there will be hell to pay... i can assure him of that

Jacob I am not going to insult your father or your mother because I think they are the coolest. How the hell did they have you? were you adopted if so then I feel sorry for them because like all of us here they made a bad choice to deal with you. Oh and Jacob I hope you realize that you told me that the reason you did not want to sell the car, and the reason you were having money problems was not because of all those sevens in your garage but was beacause you had two mortgages to pay for. You should watch who you talk to beacause you see when it comes to buisiness this "reeking brown sack of degrading ****" remebers all that you said to me.
