no, nothing ever became of it. she still wants it done to her car.

i even had the nerve to ask one of the local car stereo shop guys if he knew of a way it could be done and he was just simply put....not impressed.

i think it would be pretty sweet to have. haha

I'm not going to join a Civic forum just to post this, but instead of searching "yoshi shift ****" she could search "custom shift ****" and find a place that will make her one, like this place:

http://www.koolknobs.com/index.html

They just might do it. Can't be cheap I wouldn't think, but I'm sure they could make some kind of Yoshi-themed shift ****, if not shaped like Yoshi then at least with a picture of Yoshi inside it...

As for the alarm system, looks like she'll have to go aftermarket, and find one that allows you to record Arm/Disarm sounds, not just the Alarm-Going-Off sound.

Modification, when done right, is never cheap. Other ideas if she wants to "pimp out" her civic, Yoshi-style would be seat covers, floor mats, steering wheel cover, something hanging from the rearview-mirror (you can get Yoshi keychains and put them on a string), and decals.

What can I say, I live in the town right next door to Gatineau, the most ricer-filled town on the continent! If it's been riced up, I've seen it and laughed at it on the road somewhere in this town. Like a pickup truck painted Electric Purple with a bed cover that had a huge spoiler incorporated into the back. The truck was slammed so low that it made my rx7 look like a 4x4. I'd hate to see him going over speedbumps. It had a HUGE fartcan muffler, ground effects lights (in purple of course), valve stem lights, windshield washer lights, and a sound system that registered on local earthquake monitors. It was an horrible abomination, but perfectly representative of the crap you see around Old Stinky Gatineau (the "Secteur" of the current city of Gatineau that was called that before they gobbled up all the surrounding towns)

haha double J

and Vipernicus42, i sent your response to her. im sure she will appreciate it. she already has a yoshi plush toy hanging from her rear view mirror.

My idea for her car, being a civic and all, is to get a sticker made to put on the rear quarters just behind the doors (where the original I-vtec) stickers go, and have "powered by" and then "YOSHI" in the same lettering honda uses for vtec...

she actually loves the idea and may be getting that done soon.
